STAY AWAY! Dr. Change is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He scarred me for life with "SmartLipo." I was left with severe and noticeable lumps throughout my abdomen and hard sides with little circulation.

I had to pay thousands more for reconstructive surgery with a real plastic surgeon using Vaser. I later found out that most doctors don't even use SmartLipo because it is known for scarring and burning.

BEWARE and do your research. I was fooled by the great marketing and kind demeanor. He is not board certified for a reason. Soluna MD is owned by investors who have the money to get on VH1, it's not because he's a good surgeon. Pay the extra money for a real plastic surgeon or you may regret it later like I did.

This company does not honor it's verbal commitments. I bought a groupon for spider vein removal and went in for my appointment in April 2011. I had just found out I was pregnant (would never have bought the groupon if I knew), and Dr. Chang was kind enough to tell me that he would honor the groupon after I had my baby and finished breast feeding. I really appreciated this because I know that they are under no obligation to honor the groupon past the expiration date. My problem with them is that today when I called, the (very rude) receptionist informed me that Dr. Chang is no longer doing spider vein treatments purchased through groupon. When I asked if she could ask Dr. Chang if he would do it (since the groupon I bought was for a DOCTOR to perform the treatment, not a nurse) she was extremely rude and just kept saying "you're not understanding me. Dr. Chang doesn't do groupons anymore." I do understand that they've changed their policy, and if I had bought a groupon for a nurse to perform the procedure, I wouldn't be complaining at all. But I would never have a nurse do something like this, and the groupon that I bought was for a doctor to do it. So after thinking that they were going to honor the groupon that I bought, this was a pretty disappointing experience. After reading reviews, I will DEFINITELY not be going here and letting a nurse do this. Very sorry that I wasted my money.

My overall experience with Dr. Chang and Soluna MD has been very good. Dr. Chang's work is amazing and everything went exactly as he told me it would. He is very much a professional that really takes pride in his work and makes you feel very comfortable. You can be confident that he is going to do his best to make sure that you are happy with the results.

Great Experience So Far!. This has truly been a great experience from beginning to end. I had awful awful veins on my legs after my first born and have been completely embarrassed to go do any outdoor activities that show off my legs. My sister recommended I go to Soluna for vein treatments (even though she was there for something else). In any case, the nurse there was very helpful and has returned my legs to normal.

Soluna MD. Bought a groupon for vein treatment. The Nurse that saw me recommended that I got a Scan of my legs so they could treat me accurately. They said my insurance would cover for it. I scheduled an appointment with them for the following week and left my insurance information so they could obtain approval from my insurance for treatment.

Next week I asked again before treatment if the insurance had approved it and they said "YES, of course".

Nevertheless, I got a bill for $620.00 for the recommended treatment (that I did not need in order to get vein injections), even thought they told me my insurance had approved payment for the scan.

Have called their billing company and the office manager at Soluna, their only answer is: "yes, a mistake was made" while they blame each other; but I still have to pay for a treatment that I said clear and loud to them , many times, that I would not get if I had to pay for it. The bill company even suggested for me to go and get a PCP referral so I did not have to pay for it (which is illegal and I do not even want to think that there Dr's that would lend their name to such a scam), when all they had to do, just as any Dr's office does, is call the insurance and find out if it was covered by my insurance carrier before doing treatment.

I got billed $218.00 for Office visit? $402.00 for a scan and I did not even see one Dr. I was diagnosed by nurse and received treatment applied by a nurse. They are clueless on how to use the Healthcare system and they make their "patients" pay for they mediocracy.

As of the treatment itself, Have all the same veins and they left darkened skin spots all over my legs, where they applied the injections.

Today I got a call from the owner of Soluna MD. and I have edited this review since I believe it is only the right thing to do.

I have to say that I greatly appreciate his effort on amending this situation. He wrote off the $620.00 which is highly appreciated, but even more the fact that he took the time to call me himself.

It was rude on my behalf calling his business a "Scam Organization", but they way Soluna's office manager and the billing company handled the matter left a lot to think....

My advice to every one is since Dr's offices these days do not follow procedure with insurance clearance for treatment beforehand, you should do it yourself, call your insurance and make sure you are covered for treatment.

Again, thank you for calling me, it made a huge difference. I will not change the star rating because even though the whole ordeal is over and there was resolution, I feel my treatment and my issue was handled quite poorly by the staff.

happy with results. I had smartlipo performed on my upper/lower abdomen and love handles in 11/2011 at SolunaMD. It's going on two months post op and I'm relatively happy with the results. My upper stomach area still looks the same and one of my love handles looks more "full" than the other. I'm hoping that once all the swelling goes away that everything will even out. Nevertheless I did lose a lot of inches and my skin feels tighter. I had to get all of my pants and skirts taken in. I have a burning sensation which I was told was due to the healing process. I'll write another post after a couple more months. For the most part, I'm glad I went to Dr. Chang because he made me feel confident in his abilities.

Best Decision I Ever Made. I had smartlipo done at Soluna MD. The staff took excelent care of me. They took the time to explain the procedure and most important they did not rush me to make a decision. The doctor took the time to talk to me without rushing out on me. The best decision I ever made.

Best Treatment Ever. I had my leg veins treated and I am very happy I went to Soluna. Dr. Chang answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with having the treatment. Since my last visit I have sent my friends to Dr. Chang to get their veins treated. We can finally wear our skirts and shorts without having to be concerned about veins.

Mi experiencia con lipo. Hola... soy Yanet, tengo 27 años... que genial q escriban sus experiencias.. yo tome la decision de operarme luego de leer un blog como este. soy delgada pero luego de dos embarazos la flacidez en el abdomen y los cauchitos en las caderas no hay ejercicio que la quite.. Asi que luego de leer mucho, me hice una lipo Vaser, me sacaron del abdomen, caderas, entre piernas y espalda e inyectaron grasa en el pompis....no me parecio doloroso.

Si antes tenia buena figura ahora estoy espectacular.. estoy muy feliz., era flacida y ya no hay flacides. La clave del exito es un buen doctor , yo personalmente les recomiendo al Dr. Chang, es una persona muy profesional y sobre todo paciente. Asi que si quieren verse lindas, no tengan miedo.. lo importante es que lo hagan con un buen medico... unos dias de reposo, se olvida mucho mas rapido que un parto. . asi que a ponerse bellas !!

Le doy mil gracias al Dr .Chang por devolmerme la felicidad de sentirme bella y a gusto conmigo misma y por haber realizado un excelente trabajo con mi cuerpo.
