Good place.
I went there with my friend one night and we had a lot of fun. It is good place to meet cool people and just socialize. Very nice atmosphere!!!
But it is not good for dancing!
Good place to SPREAD THE LOVE :)
Friendliest staff ever!! Very hip decor. My friend and I went in here randomly because we were staying right accross the street. There's an orange lamborgini parked outside forever and crowds were coming in and out during the evening so we decided to check it out. WOW, breathtaking scene and interior, and very beautiful people! The bar was backed by a wall of mirrors and there were illuminated frames of art thru the hallway, as well as other funky art displayed everywhere. You can find a white pool table on the lower floor. Once you step outside there's the party by the rooms on the ground floor and a long tent with plasma TV's playing random videos of classy women (NOT FTV). Then by the end it's the pool with couches on the side. An awesome place to chill. A HIDDEN JEM in town together with the other hotels along this part of the street that have huge backgardens. We met locals who told us that this is where the locals chill. A server asked if we were doing OK, and he came back to check on us every now and then even though we weren't VIPs. Forget Mansion and Opium, come here for a lounge break and be comfortable!! (before 2am)!!!
China Grill's latest lounge features private living rooms, an art gallery and a screening room--all with an ocean view..
In Short
Styled as an "artistic culinary lounge," this place aims to let guests go out without leaving the comforts of home--that is, if their home is a mansion. After viewing art installations or a private screening, guests can relax in two-person living rooms, interact in the game room, or enjoy the pool lounge. There's also an outdoor cafe featuring small plates ranging from bok choy to deviled eggs speared with caviar and laced with truffle oil.
Yum & Fun!.
We dined at Social Miami as part of Miami's Restaurant month and had a great experience. The waiter was fantastic! He was very engaged, socialable (hence the name?) and attentative. He referred to me by my first name since I made the reservation, which I thought was a nice touch. 50% of the experience was the staff and the light atmosphere.
The other 50% was the food- which for the most part was delicious. As had a range of great tapas, the yummiest being the lamb cigars, ahi tuna (not the ceviche), and the grouper fish. The others were good, but did not stand out in our minds.
It is definitely a fun restaurant, with nice artpieces in the entrance and all-white (typical miami) decor. A great place to go with a group of friends to try all the different dishes, or just to have a martini or two (those were delicious too).
