stay away – want to be in a gang fight or get shot then you will love this place if not STAY AWAY
Horrible! – I have come here a few times because I happen to be friends with some of the DJ's that play here. BUT that was before. I will NEVER go back. Every time I had a terrible time. The place is as cheap as it can get with filthy floors and the paint peeling off the walls. The bathrooms are so disgusting its not even appropriate to go into them. Yes, the drinks are as expensive as they would be at any high end club in Miami. The little staff they have is rude and did not treat me appropriately. I also never feel safe in here because the "chongos" are always trying to pick a fight. Plus I have to say that there are a whole lot of underage people in here. The crowd is just plain awful. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Other places in the downtown area are far better. Try Blue Martini, Karu & Y, The King is Dead. Its always a pleasure to hang out in those places and meet NICE people, but definitely NOT METROPOLIS!
Yo my name is bklyn The spot is HOT of the MAP – YO my name is BKLYN i was one of the people that help build the DOWNTOWN METROPOLIS, FRom day one i new this spot was going to be of the chain.. All night long, , music, dancing. partying, it's the top spot in the downtown area....Take it from me, cuase i've been in every part of the club, it's the total package, A place to unwind after a long week of work........... Yo am BKLYN saying Peace.............. Ps. special shout out to the owners.yeah, yyeah all of you..... extra special shout out to Mandy .manny the man Rodriquez .. we love manny thanks for the great times........... Brooklyn AKA greg
GREATEST CLUB AROUND THE MIAMI AREA – I was there on a Saturday night, it was intense, the music was amazing, there are fights but let me tell you, when the music is electronica and not hip-hop the people are completely chilled.
i recommend this place, its been renovated with better staff and in general.
Night to Remember – I was there that night that the cover was $20 for open bar all night. As far as IDs, I was with 6 girls all of which are over 21 and all of our IDs were thoroughly checked. The Open Bar... well i asked for patron shots and was charged but when i simply requested a cranberyy and vodka...it was free. So i'm pretty sure it was open bar well drinks. As the night went on my friend won $1000 in the raffle. The room was filled with people, they had dancers dancing, and the bar staff was very friendly. As far as the bathrooms...they are pretty much average. I never had to pay for toilet paper but i did tip the lady a dollar (( maybe you were just rude)). Overall I had an amazing time and think its a fun place with great music.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP AT ALL COSTS!!!! – NO WAY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! NOT SAFE, They allowed under age and i mean under 18 in with no id for starters. The place is beat, the bars coolers are empty, they virtualy have no staff or security inside besides they appear to when you get there. The place is dirty, no toilet paper in the bathrooms unless you pay the bathroom attendant 3.00 first. Overpriced drinks although they had some ripoff deal saying free drinks for 20.00...our first and only round cost 40.00!
4 to 1 guy to girl ratio... my wife did not feel safe and we left after 1 drink.....
go to a real club like space, cameo, mansion if you want a REAL big club experience!
Very Unsafe, Lousy Bouncers / Door Staff, Very Dangerous! – This place is the worst club I have been to in the downtown area. Its in a very unsavory area of downtown Miami. The bouncers dont control the people or even attempt to keep the peace between people, and they let the building get way too full. There must be about 10 fights per night here on the weekends between people, alot ending up on the local news because people were stabbed / shot.
Fantasy reigns at this opulent labyrinth spanning 35,000 square feet, where more is always better (except when it comes to clothing). – In Short
Five theme park-style rooms ranging in style from ancient Egypt to the Amazon jungle entice well-heeled clubbers dressed to the nines. Although decidedly upscale, red ropes don't exclude and bottle service can secure VIP status. With celebrity DJs, and a killer sound system playing everything from house music to retro, this indoor and outdoor playground offers flirtatious fun for almost everyone.
