We were harrassed throughout the dinner. It was a busy evening for the restaurant. We came early at around 6:30pm and got a table right away. From there on we were harrassed by all the restaurant staff, from the manager down to the waitress to quickly order, quickly eat and quickly leave. The manager told us that if we did not order within 5 to 10 minutes they would have to move us out of that table - this was just 5 minutes after we sat down! In the middle of eating our deserts they kept asking if we were finished. As soon as we stood up, they started clearing the table, before we even picked up our purses and bags. This was a very stressful dinner. The food was nothing to rave about. They are there to make money, they do not care about their clients having a lovely meal or not. The location of the restaurant is really good and they have a very nice outside seating area - it is a shame that it is so mismanaged.…
Excellent Italian Food, Location & Prices.. I'm not an employee or share holder of this restaurant but a very satisfied repeat customer. You will not regret your experience at Villagio, when the wife and i go i have the Grouper about $18 it is the best tasting large portion well priced fish you will have in a top notch Gables location. My rating is a 4.5 but not available so i used the 4 rating. Parking is readily available at the meters or valet if you wish.…
ambience lovely. Lovely ambience. Food is ok. Fettucini alfredo and ceaser salad. Prices are very reasonable in relationship to everything else around.

As a Coral Gables resident I visit Villagio often. Like other posters have mentioned, this is a family friendly place. I have sampled just about everything on their menu and I enjoyed them all. I
can't vouch for the wine and wine prices as I'm not a big wine drinker.
Yes the bar area does have the appearance of a sports bar however, the crowd is definetly upscale. If you want cheap beer and to watch sports, cross the courtyard where you will find the Yardhouse.
As you read the negative reviews, bear in mind as with all reviews, people are more inclined to write a bad review than to spend the time to write a good review.

Great Restaurant. I couldn't believe what I was reading so I had to take the time to refute these bad posts. Villagio is a delicious Italian restaurant with great prices. I work close by, so I eat there regularly and I've never had a bad experience. The place is always packed so they have to be doing something right. I would not go there for Italian charm and romance - but the setting outside in Merrick Park is beautiful - one of the better outdoor restaurants. I find the bad posts on here hard to believe. I have no connection to the restaurant - just think it's not fair to give this place a bad wrap. This is a great inexpensive enjoyable place, very family friendly.…
