In Short – Unlike its rowdier sibling in Fort Lauderdale, this 2005 addition to downtown Coral Gables places the emphasis more on casual dining than bar-side hedonism. A laid-back crowd is the norm despite its ritzy surroundings, with hungry patrons digging into catch-of-the-day sandwiches and platters, which come blackened, jerked, grilled or fried. The only fish in this restaurant that aren't still-flipping fresh are the mounted marlins on the walls.

Great staff and management. Always consistent service and nice, Miami crowd. My favorite time to go is on Friday nights.

Bad Lunch!

The best part of the lunch today was the greeting from the hostess. I really have never been a fan however it is near the office and we did not want to drive. Anyways - I ordered the special, the shrimp stir fry. You would think for a $16 lunch plate it would taste better than a frozen meal. Our server was a ghost - she took the order and disappeared. I think I will stick to their happy hour - no more lunches for me.

Everything I've ordered here has been amazing. Highly recommended for the crab cakes. The bar also whips up some tasty drink creations or they have a good selection of beer. Parking is of course a problem (like everywhere else on miracle mile) but it's worth it and they are open pretty late on the weekends.

If you want a potent beverage that is unique to the Gables' location, try the Miracle Mile Mojito. It gives the leafy rum drink a new spin with a raspberry kick.
Know Before You Go:
Live entertainment may be a staple at the original Broward location, but not in Coral Gables.
