What People Are Saying About Emeril's

In Short – Emeril has made his way to Miami Beach and has brought his signature bang--or bam--with him. Fans of the Food Network and glitterati will find Lagasse and Company doing his thing with inventive takes on Creole dishes and an impressive wine list inside the Loews Miami Beach. Favorites include the New Orleans barbecue shrimp, Niman Ranch double-cut pork chop with a tamarind glaze, blue-cheese-glazed filet mignon and banana creme pie with a graham cracker crust.

horrible! we spent 200 dollars and left hungry. I expected a lot from Emeril's place because hes a big chef on tv. The appetizers were overpriced and nothing special. The entrees like the red fish, the porkchops, and the chicken were too expensive for the quality of it. My friend said the pork chop was dry and covered with sauce and some roasted potatos. Nothing special. The fish was covered with a bunch of seasoning and scattered with a pile of string potatos. Sort of bland and odd flavoring. The chicken was tender, but again covered with a bunch of tortillla strips. Nothing special at all! The drinks were ok. A bit expensive for a drink that wasnt special visually and drastically different in taste than stuff you get at a local bar. I don't know why the meal price listed here says mid range. I think it should be $$$ (3) dollar signs at least because the lowest entree is priced at 30 dollars up to 50. Add on a drink and a soup or salad and it averages to about 60 per person. Not including dessert. I had better quality food, at a more affordable cost at a place located in downtown near the local shops. Stay away from this place.
- Pros: the waiters were friendly! the pre dinner bread was good!
- Cons: expensive prices for low quality food. drinks too expensive for the quality. noisy. lacked flavor.
Disappointing...

My husband took me there to celebrate my birthday; we had reservations and waited for about 45 minutes while several parties were seated ahead of us. I started to notice a couple of them coming back to tip the guy at the front, who kept telling us we were next. I was starving and watching people cut the line by bribing the man who sat everyone. After almost an hour waiting I thought I would have the best meal ever- well, it was OK, but really not worth $120 (which was what it cost for the two of us, no alcohol ordered). Would NOT go back- there are much better options in Miami!!
- Pros: The server was nice
- Cons: Long waits, overpriced, people bribing get tables ahead of reservations
