Aventura Gem. It was my bday and just happened upon this place and decided to take a chance.. so glad I did! Small and nicely furnished it was full but not enough for there to be a wait. The prices are reasonable and all three of us had apps and entree. My tuna tartare was great though kinda small and and the calamari were pretty good. I had the salmon and it was awesome! My fiance had the pork which he said was good but it just looked boring- brown pork, brown sweet potato, brown carmelized apples- needed some color on that plate! The only thing that kinda bothered me was they were told it was my bday, and excuse me if it sounds greedy, but I would have thought they would bring out some sort of dessert or something but oh well. Nice place and good food. Nice to go to a neighborhood place sometimes rather than the big chains.I will go back.

Fine dining without the price!!!. Pilar is the type of Restaurant I always wished i had back home in NY ( that's saying something when NY has some of the greatest restaurants in the World).

Aventura's Diamond in the Rough. Probably the best restaurant Aventura has to offer. I must eat at Pilar three times a week or more. I've eaten both lunch and dinner. Just excellent!!!

Perfect Dining Experience. I rarely review anything online but Pilar is one of the few places that deserves it. Jeremy the Manager is amazing, the wait staff is friendly and courteous; and the food is fabulous. Try the Sangria, it is excellent. All in all, Pilar is one of the few restaurants that has earned my repeat business.

Yummy in Aventura!. The food was sooooo tasty. The cocktails were yummy. Even the basic green salad served before dinner was delicious. For an entree I had the shrimp linguine. I height recommend this place! Nice atmosphere, with out being pretentious.

Note: Good happy hour too. Half off drinks.

YUM. My friends turned me on to pilar about a month ago after I was complaing that their were no good places to eat in Aventura...and I'm so happy they did. It is great! Just perfect. No hassel! Just a great place to eat good food and order a cocktail (if i choose) with a nice, attentive staff. The server had plenty to suggest and i chose the mahi...yum! I really loved the fact that it was a beautiful place where I could come for any occasion, I loved it and recommend it to everyone looking for the perfect little neighboorhood restaurant. So glad I found pilar!

User review by estherp. Went to this restaurant for a fund raiser for Cystic Fibrosis. The bartender was the most rude person I have ever met. She was insulting and hostile. The accoustics were terrible so that it was hard to hear. The food was little to none.

Excellent. I ate at Pilar last night for the first time and it was excellent. The atmosphere and the food were top notch and the service was great as well. I ordered the mahi mahi which was prepared with plantains and sauteed onions. The fish was so fresh and well prepared that it melted in my mouth. The appetizers and desserts were equally enjoyable. Even though I live closer to South Beach, I'll be making the drive to Aventura to go to Pilar much more often. Not only was the food better than most South Beach restaurants, the crowd was less pretentious and the prices were much more reasonable.

PILAR IS A FIND. GREAT LOCAL PLACE. HAS IT ALL! CONSISTANT, FRIENDLY AND COOL PLACE TO HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS. FOOD IS ALWAYS FRESH AND DELICIOUS. GREAT LITTLE LOUNGE AREA TO SIT AND HAVE COCKTAILS! THANKS FOR COMING TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD.

PILAR...SUPER!. PILAR IS TRULY FANTASTIC. SO MANY RESTAURANTS TODAY PROMISE AND DON'T DELIVER, THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH PILAR. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT. THE FOOD, THE ATMOSHERE, THE SELECTION AND THE PRICE. MY FRIENDS AND I HAD AN ALL AROUND GREAT EXPERIENCE! WE ATE THE CONCH AND CALAMARIE FOR APPS...UNBELEIVABLE! AND I HAD THE SALMON WHICH WAS PROBABLY THE BEST SALMON I HAVE EVER HAD...SO FRESH!. GO TO PILAR, EAT WELL, HAVE SOME COCKTAILS AND ENJOY!
