overpriced gables restaurant. After a long awaited Valentine' Day dinner it came to our suprised that the restaurant had a set menu for Valentine's Day. The portions were so small I could not see it on my plate. It was totally overpriced. Left restaurant, paid bill and ended up eating elsewhere because I was still hungry. Thanks but no thanks, I will not visit this restaurant again.

Gourmet food every step of the way. The staff will be more than happy to recommend a fantastic wine to go with your meal and their recommendations are good or you can peruse their extensive list. We started with the fish ceviche appetizer which was fantastically good. I had the Pan Seared Salmon Fillet. It was perfect. My friend had the Braised veal cheeks: fall-apart tender and not oversauced.

The meals couldn't have been more perfect.

Excellent food and great wines!. Have enjoyed many dinners at CACAO's -the wild boar is a must, and the veal is superb!

The tiradito trio to begin with is delicious - and for wines - try their South African selections - Great ambiance and elegant decor - great place to enjoy dinner with a group of friends-

This is ART!!. I was chosen in my company to select the restaurant where we would celebrate our VP Hollyday supper. Fortunately I chose Cacao. I am convinced that this is one of the best restaurants in Miami, not alone the food is fabulous, and creative, the service is exceptional and the environment welcoming . Thanks to Cacao I score a point with the Company and, more important still, enjoyed a magnificent dinner

Very disappointed. I strongly believe that the place is not worth the money and the time. Not only is super expensive but also service is very lousy. Our waiter was clueless and inattentive. He seemed surprised that we actually needed additional water beyond the initial pouring. He forgot what we'd ordered. Sadly, the food was no better than the service.

The chef has a frustrating tendency to overload dishes, so called re-invented Latin American, with an overwhelming number of flavors. To me everything tasted simply like too much papaya, mango and pineapple.

If the food had been great it would not have mind to pay a high price, but for average food like this, I rather go to any traditional cafeteria and maybe get faster and better service.

I don't really recommend this place.

"A Taste Bud Extravaganza.". After indulging at what Cacao had to offer, only one word best describes my memory of the place: Mesmerizing. The intricate fashion of how the food was prepared was absolutely fascinating. So many eclectic recipes combined in each plate create a burst of flavor that make up a taste bud extravaganza. A reservation is of the utmost importance because of the rising fame that the name Cacao is commanding. The posh decor and chic surroundings create a tremendously attractive ambiance for the upscale attitude. The service was outstanding as too was the crowd of impeccable attire. Located on Giralda Avenue, where much of the buzz of Coral Gables nightlife resides, there is always an attraction nearby. This is a restaurant for the connoisseur that enjoys the magnificence of taste at its absolute best with all the zest and the zing of what makes life grand in a bite. L.A.

True to its chocolaty moniker, the entrees are rich at this Latin American eatery.. The Scene
This upscale restaurant's chic decor features red upholstered chairs and white-clothed tables in a spacious dining room designed around a glass-enclosed wine room. The stylish clientele nosh on exotic Latin American appetizers, such as reina pepiada--cool guacamole and chicken salad wedged in a tower of warm corn chips. Entrees include suckling pig with cinnamon-spiced plantain puree and filet mignon with olive oil-based chimichurri sauce. Wrap up the meal with a delicate chocolate souffle.
