Editorial Review for Mr. Moe's Restaurant and Bar – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Brushed stone floors, wood-paneled walls and wagon-wheel accents create a country cabin feel at this mecca for sports fans. Flat-panel TVs hang from nearly every wall, broadcasting the big game or "SportsCenter" at all hours. The kitchen serves gut-stuffing portions of meat, potatoes and all the fixin's, and the bar boasts more than 40 beer selections.

So, I went with 8 other guys on a recommendation that this would be a cool place to eat good food, hang out and watch the All-Star game. In the first 70 minutes or so we saw our waiter only once. Not so great when you're looking to drink... Then, the food came. The appetizers were acceptable and we probably should have stopped there. Three of us got the brisket. It was literally so dry it was almost impossible to swallow. I was only able to take a single bite before pushing it to the side. The other two tried to eat a few bites but ultimately had the same result. One guy ordered fried fish and got burned grilled fish, another ordered shrimp and got chicken fajitas?? When we were finally able to flag down the waiter, we asked to see the manager. With a horrible attitude, he offered to give us 50% off the brisket because we ate half! I have never even heard of this. The guy who was picking up the tab outright refused to pay for the brisket AND the imposed 18% gratuity (due to the size of the party). After about 10 minutes of the manager talking presumably to the owner, he came over and told us he would take off the brisket and the gratuity. Total visit was about two hours. Thankfully, the hotel had decent room service.

This place is great....especially on a Friday or Saturday night. It is a great bar to just go and hang out with your friends. The food and drinks are fantastic. I recommend trying some of their specialty drinks as well. I've never had a bad time there!!!
