My coworkers and I were reluctant to try the Grateful Palate due to the negative feedback we heard from those who had been there previously. We took a gamble and were so happy we did! It turns out the restaurant/yacht provisioner has been taken over by new ownership and have completely changed! The menu was well-rounded and offered an excellent array of cusine...ranging from watermelon and feta salad (my personal favorite) to seared tuna grilled to absolute perfection over a bed of citrus greens. We found a wonderful lunch spot we can all enjoy encompassed in a fun, sophisticated atomosphere. After frequenting lunch spots all over the Fort Lauderdale area, this is truly the best there is out there. Make sure you get there early as the seats fill up very quicky. Give it a try, and like us, you'll be very pleasantly suprised. Finally, a restaurant in South Florida that gets it right!

My girlfriends and I went to Grateful Palate for lunch this week and were so impressed with what the new owners have done wth the place! It was an incredible transformation! The decor was contemporary and beautifully put together. The building is divided into a deli/maretplace and a fabulous restaurant with a gourmet chef''s table. The markeplace offers a delightful selection of gourmet foods as well as delicously prepared meals. My friends and I came at 1:00 for lunch and were quickly seated. I highly recommend the kobe burger with blue cheese and yucca fries as well as the sea bass. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and simply delicious! The prices were reasonable and the staff was prompt and very helpful. Overall, a wonderful place for lunch and high-end market shopping.
