Grand Bay Hotel is no more. I was in Coconut Grove to watch the filming of USA television hit, Burn Notice. A significant portion of the season 4 finale was filmed at the Wyndham Grand Bay. Apparently it was in the middle of a re-model when the market crashed.

The former grandeur is apparent but the place has been 90% gutted with no further work being done. It made a great setting for Michael Weston, Fiona Glennane and the rest of the cast of Burn Notice.

Hopefully someone will take up the task of re-viving this once beautiful resort hotel. Until then, don't plan on staying here unless you are homeless and have a sleeping bag.
