Worst Hospital EVER.
I was vacationing in Miami with my family when I experienced a Gout attack. This is a build up of uric acid in the joints needless to say it is very painful, so much so when my gout act up I
physically cannot walk. I checked into this hospital at 730 in the morning and there were 4 people in the lobby. The receptionist didn?t call my attention until 1hour & 45minutes later, where she gave me a clip board with an application to fill out. Hours later a nurse took my pressure and I wheeled myself back into the lobby, where I sat until 2:30pm.
I sat next to an old man who was one of the 4 people there when I arrived. He was in major pain and kept calling the receptionists attention but she payed him no mind. I asked the receptionist to have someone the old man because he looked seriously ill. She replied; he?ll be taken care of soon enough. Shortly after the old man urinated him-self and his urine appeared to to be red in color. I say this because the entire front of his trousers were stained red. Another person alerted the receptionist and her reply was he?ll soon be taken care of. Minutes later a nurse passing by noticed the old man and immediately called for assistance. After waiting 7 hours in immense pain and witnessing such lack of disregard for another human being was enough.
I called a cab return to my family?s house gathered my family cut my vacation short and return home to the Cayman Islands. My gout attack was so severe that I had to be wheeled on and off the aircraft. Once I arrived in Cayman I was immediately transported to hospital where I was treated and released. Now 2 years later they have a collection agency calling me for $28.00. FOR WHAT? Taking my pressure.

Hospital nightmare.
Horrible experience, rooms are not cleaned and sanitized frequently enough and some of the nursing staff is not friendly and or helpful. You have to be on top of them to remind them about doctor's
orders and medications otherwise they are not given in a timely fashion, and orders might be totally ignored.
It really is a shame because the doctors are first rate and in contrast friendly and helpful.
The ER is a nightmare in every sense! Dirty, messy, and small. Everything happens at Caribbean time, there seems to be no respect for the term STATS or emergency.
For me, it has been a nightmare and unfortunately I still have to deal wiht it since my father is still there.…
