One of the best Bar/Restaurants in town. Had a great night there! Awesome friendly stuff, the grass-fed Burger is a must-eat (try it well-done with bluecheese), good drinks and cool people there. The food is actually better then I expected.

HORRIBLE - bad food, worse service, crazy tip practice. Three of us went to Norman's on New Years Eve, but early in the evening (~10:00 pm) for a snack and drink before dinner. Ordered a few drinks, a seafood platter and some grilled mussels. The seafood platter bordered on unedible. It was deep fried in what must have been 2 week old oil and all the seafood was like rubber. The service was HORRIBLE. This is literal, I waved at the waitress 3 times as she came out to the sidewalk, and she never came over. After about 20 minutes with no waitress in site, I finally YELLED for a waiter. It still took 10 minutes and another trip to the service desk again for them to get me a bill. To add insult to injury, their policy is to add an automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 3 or more. DO NOT EAT AT NORMAN's, HORRIBLE PLACE.

I love Normans. In reference to the review below..... The waitress who did that was fired. Feel free to confirm. Thank you, and please come back for a second new experience.

Bad Customer Service. After being approached by the waitress and no smile or pleasantness at all and not checking on us after bringing us our drinks, incorrectly I might add, I left no tip and crossed out the space on the credit card receipt. After checking my credit card statement online, I found that she decided to write in her own 3.25 tip somehow on an 18.00 check. The manager has yet to return my call on this improper activity and I've put the complete charge in dispute.

I would never recommend this business as there are many other choices along the beach and they obviously aren't concerned with the employee's actions.

Excellent service!!. OK since last here..The bar has improved a whole lot.The staff has been alot better.Floor manager is actually very good at what he does.When the place gets slammed it still moves pretty dam smooth.Always nice people waiting on you.I would definately recommend this bar as it is comfortable in there.Easy place to meet people to catch up on gossip with.Take a cab there if you plan to get trashed.Drink/Eat enjoy and smile.The beach is right across the street.and if you need a room..it's right upstairs. wink wink.

I almost forgot.The place has nice spacious outdoor seating.

Good local/late-night spot. Norman's is a classic American restaurant. Go there for burgers, sandwiches, beer, etc. The food we had was good; I definitely would recommend the "steak bites" appetizer. As a bonus, they are open till 5AM every night. Outside seating is also available, though the view of cars on Collins Ave. isn't that exciting. Overall, a good solid choice and the locals know it!
