In Short – Entering the clean, bright interior is like stepping into an "Archie" comic book. Hurrying across white- and black-checkered floors, staff in crisp white shirts and paper hats take orders, polish chrome and shuffle between booths and the full-service counter. Middle-American diner standards dominate the menu--pickle-covered steak burgers, chili cheeseburgers and thick shakes. Healthier options include chicken, chef and taco salads.

Steak 'n Shake burgers are by far the most satisfying and tasteful burgers that I have eaten thus far. Fudruckers, Cheeburger Cheeburger and Johnny Rockets are good "old school" style burgers that are no doubt notches above the typical fast food stuff. However, Steak 'n Shake delivers pound for pound the best burgers in town because of its incredible flavor and texture. All their sandwiches literrally melt in your mouth and satisfy the most difficult cravings a person could have. Their chili and shakes are also to die for.
