Needs a management overhawl.
Had to come back and edit this review. They have really taken a turn for the worse. My wife ordered the Big Borderito...and it came out in less than 2 minutes... no joke. It was also cold! Obviously, they just grabbed a burrito that someone returned and sent it our way. We also ordered tacos and they came out so soggy that they fell apart. The issue with the tacos happened at least 4 times between my first review and now. It's a shame because I really liked this place, but I won't be coming back any time soon.
-----------2006---------------------------------------------------------I've only tried two chain mexican restaurants and have been satisfied with both(the other being Chevy's) It is true that they are not quite as tasty as some of the more authentic mexican restaurants, but the food is definitely not bad. The tacos are loaded with meat, the chicken enchiladas are tasty, and who doesn't like chips and salsa? If you want authentic Mexican food...take a trip to Cancun or Cozumel and you may try some. If you want cheap mexican cuisine and excellent margaritas, come here.
Same old thing.
If you're looking for a cool place to go have a couple of beers, munch on some chips with "salsa" and just have an average "mexican" dinner, this is your place.
However, if you like the authentic tasty mexican food, you're better off driving a few more miles and going to any taqueria in homestead... They're just like Chevy's or any other americanized mexican food. Oh, and get ready to wait on line.
Mexican?. I've tried this place on several occasions hoping for satisfaction and I must say that I gave up. On every visit, food was bland and seemed to be right out of the microwave. Service was nothing to brag about and most visits were not during peak hours. For this place to be considered #1 makes it obvious most folks in South Florida have never tasted real authentic Mexican cuisine.
User review by estrella22. Best margaritas, ONLY place to be for Cinco de Mayo
Awesome. The food was great and affordable. The ambiance was friendly and cheerful. Definitely a place I would bring my family and friends for get together or just me and my husband for a night of dining alone.
More Chain Restauraunt Mexican. This was a great disappointment. I'd always driven by to see its outdoor patio packed with people. Now I wonder why!! The food is mediocre at best--your typical suburban chain restaurant fare--and overpriced. Drinks are not much better, although they do have a decent beer selection. This restaurant is crammed into a strip mall with another popular chain restaurant, clothing stores, a diner, a Chuckie Cheese, so plan on paying for valet parking!!!
This place is horrible. The staff is extremely rude, from the hostesses to the bartenders to the wait staff. The food is tasteless and I believe it comes frozen. You are better off driving to an authentic mexican restaurant in Homestead. Stay away from here!!!!
great. great mexican restaurant, make previous reservations it can get up to 2 hr waiting on fridays. great place for family... highly recomend
