ATROCIOUS SERVICE. Purdy Ave location has among the worst service in South Beach, which is saying a lot. Worse than indifferent. If you can ignore the waitstaff, it's really lovely.

Fairly authentic French cafe. This is a fairly authentic French cafe, from the cheap house wine, to the food, to the crap service. I love it! To be fair, when the service is good, it's fantastic, but if you aren't so lucky as to get the good waiter (actually waitRESS), then the service is atrocious. I go there all the time :-)

Lame quality and high prices. Avoid this faux French spot. Waited so long after the waiter gave me a table that I had to go pick up a menu myself. There were 7 patrons in the restaurant, he wasn't swamped. It took another 15mn before he came back with my order. No fancy order indeed, just a sandwich. I picked the rillettes sandwich. The baguette was industrial bread...and barely defrost! Size was slightly longer than my hand, basically 3 bites. I paid $10 + tips. Will never come back, this is a joke...no wait, a rip off.

Tres cool. After we finished a fabulous dinner and dancing experience at Tantra, we all walked around the corner on our way to Suite (which was closed by the way). We stumbled across a little French cafe that was oh so bohemian. I suddenly felt like I was walking along the left bank of Paris. The customers here were a combination of all types; locals, artists, poets, unpretentious types who looked like they just rolled out of bed, clubbers dressed to impress, etc. We stopped and had more coffee and some great dessert crepes. Our french waitress told us that this place is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. I made a mental note to return to try the food. Great outdoor ambiance on Espanola Way.

South Beach is dotted with outdoor cafes but this "cafe-creperie" is the genuine article in casual French dining.. In Short
In true European fashion, this laidback eatery goes at one's own pace, even if tables appear to be at a premium at this intimate cafe with wood-paneled flair. Crepes are the specialty. Whether it's loaded with veal and creamy mushrooms as a main course or topped with citron sauce or "caramel banane" for dessert, good luck resisting the freshly-prepared treat and sticking to just one of the salads or sandwiches on the menu.
