Worst "Italian" food around

My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a try and we got there on the early side for dinner. (@6pm) She ordered a personal pizza and I ordered a pasta dish. My order came out first and the pasta was overcooked and not drained properly making the sauce watery. I waited a few minutes before starting to eat as I didn't want my girlfriend to sit there and watch me while I ate without her. After several more minutes it became clear that her order was taking longer and she graciously told me to start eating before my dish got cold. It took @45 minutes for her pizza to finally come out by which time I was long done. When we talked to the Manager about it he blamed the 16yo waitress for not putting the pizza order in before the pasta dish. He also made the excuse of being backed up on pizza to-go orders. (Um, sorry but I ran a restaurant many years ago and not only do you never blame someone else when you're the manager but it's all the same kitchen & Dine-in customers always come before carry-out. If you don't know that then you need to find another line of work.)

I've eaten at many Italian restaurants all over the country including NYC and this is NOT Italian food. (BTW: A jar of Prego is far better than this stuff.) Not only will I never go back but I'll make sure to let everyone else know not to go there either. Especially if you all want to eat together.

Old New York style service

Forget home delivery.

I heard they had a new place on Bird Road, (near me) so I called- already tasting great pizza.

I called and called. Called 3 times and no one picked up after many, many rings.

So I thought maybe I had the wrong number and called the original restaurant to check I had the right number.

ME: Do you have a new place on Bird Road?

Kendall" Yes, click." Kendall hung up.

I guess when they say New York Style, they are talking about the style of service.

You can guess another business got my business.

Very good quality food. Service OK

Food quality in general is very good. True NY pizza, cheesy, toasty and , bendable. However, for such a famous pizzeria in South Miami, waiters should be trained and managed in a more rigorous manner. During dinner time, about a dozen people gather at a very small entrance either waiting to be seated or for take-out. There's no distinction between the two crowds . I find it a bit chaotic. Prices are fair.
