memories. this place rocks I love it and grew up going there as a child it's hard not to eat to much of that delicious hot Cubin bread with the butter they serve before the meal my favorite plate is the curassow or the ropa veaha also the vlan de qeso is off the chain just thinking about it makes me hungry any way see ya there am going this Friday
Go To Calle Ocho. Very clean with a courteous staff. But, that's it. If you want real Cuban food, go to Calle Ocho. Try El Pub, Exisito, or any of the small, truly Cuban joints. Even the cafe cubano here is mediocre. Go doen the street to Tres Palmas for better cafe and food.
Mmm .... Good Cuban Food!!. we had a big group and everything was perfect!! great food great service great mojitos and great restaurant!!
cuban food for anglos.
well we had reynaldo as our server he was very helpful in suggestions
first he suggested 2 coco havana's coconut pineapple and rum yummmmmy
then he said as an appetizer he suggested "a taste of havana" chic-pork-maraquitas-enchaladas
yukka -coquettes oh my gosh heaven all so fresh
oh yeah warm and soft rolls came imediatley and ice cold water --glass was never empty
clean brite white table cloth and what looked like silver flatware
i had the breaded fish (which was almost bigger than the dinner plate) which came with rice and garlic black beans and bananas------------ it was wonderful
my friend had the very tender chic breast with fried bananas black beans and rice (im having that next time
seriously this is a wonderful place beautiful senic window to a lush garden very very clean brite and cheerful service was like the old days fast friendly and polite
this is a find you wont be disapointed

billy and alvin
love the grilled pork chops. i was pleasantly surprised with this little cuban place that is not in calle ocho. the service here was definitely a lot better than what i experienced at versailles so this place already has the upper hand. i truly enjoyed the pork chops and the rice and beans. we were not so impressed with the chicken dishes but i would keep coming back (if i'm in town) for the pork chops.
Best food we had our whole vacation.. This place is not in any of the hot spots of Miami, but it is worth the drive to North Miami Beach. Get the sampler appetizer, everything is great on this. The meals are very large and well seasoned(did not even need salt or pepper). Casual dress is perfect for this place, which is great when you have kids. Just be careful of a drink called "mojito", it has a very strong flavor and is very potent. Unless you are into hype and high prices you should definetly check this place out.
This North Miami Cuban restaurant serves up classic fare in an energetic atmosphere..
In Short
The place looks like a banquet hall for the American Legion, but the food is straight out of Havana. The authentic meals are filling and tasty--and you can't beat the prices. At night there's potent sangria, an easy way to turn dinner into a fiesta. Choose from an encyclopedic menu (in English or Spanish) of Cuban specialties, including lobster in tomato sauce, fried pork, picadillo, ropa vieja, chicken croquettes and black beans and rice.
yummy food, but a little crowded. The food was wonderful and the mojitos were great. However, my man and I felt like we were sitting in the middle of the aisle. Overall, we enjoyed the place and we will go back again.
Little Havana for the BEST Cuban food.
