We visited the Sergio's on Bird Road after bowling one night & took a few friends. We had a certificate and was told that it was expired. Then after realizing it wasn't, they said they don't take it anymore. Then I showed them that it was still being sold on line as we speak. They still refused it. We asked for a manager. The server, Reynold & the busser, Alex, went back each to tell the manager we wanted to speak to him at least three or four time each! We could see the manager in the back office but he kept sending the poor employees to do his job. After nearly 45 minutes of waiting (never heard of such as thing before), the manager, Frank came out. He did give us a food discount but it was nowhere near the $50 certificate value. The food was good and the other employees were nice but even though we bowl on a league (literally across the street) and need places open later so we and "all" of out friends could eat after, we won't be back. We had been a couple of times and was telling everyone that it was so convenient. Now, we will be sure and tell all 38 teams (4 on each team) not to go there. A older gentleman (a customer) stopped us outside and told us that we handled the situation very well. So, we weren't rude. 45 minutes for a manager to come out and speak to a customer when they asked for him (and the place was nearly empty at the time) is ridiculous! As I mentioned there is usually 8 or 10 of us who go to eat after but, we will be going some place else!

ITS NOT THAT BAD.... Ived been to 3 sergios in miami.. one by country walk (which is now closed), the bird RD and in coral gables... Gotta say that the worst customer service has to be (hands down) coral gables... The workers dont know english... and whe they speak spanish its always a mess and a misunderstanding... they are so rude.. ahhh but i have to say the food is cheap and really good.. cant omplain.. you get what you pay as in customer service... oh well my tummy is full and satisfied...

Cuban food & people. Hate to break it to you but you can't live in Miami and expect to go to a Cuban restuarant, especially on Bird Rd., and get service in ENGLISH. That is acutally the experience of it all. Otherwise, the food is great, reasonable prices, & have never had a problem with their delivery or in house serivce.

WORST resteraunt, HORRIBLE customer service, managerial staff NON EXISTANT.. We ordered from the Bird Road store. First off, noone there understands ENGLISH. My wife ordered 3 palomilla steaks, 2 well done, 1 medium well with cooked onions, 2 cheeseburger kids meals with pepsi. 2 White rice and black beans, and 1 white rice and red beans, and 2 medium chicken soups. When the delivery arrived, the driver wouldnt wait for her to check the order. When we opened it up, we had 2 SMALL chicken noodle soups, 3 rare steaks with raw onions. The kids meals were fine. Go to Burger King or McDonalds, its cheaper and the food is better and the customer service is 1000 times better.

Worse Service in Miami !. The food at Sergio's restaurant lacks taste and flavor. Real Cuban food here?

Maybe Cuban food done by Mexicans!. The staff is poorly trained, the service is bad and our waitress lacked memory about what we ordered. Can somebody here clean the greasy tables and stinky women bathroom?, The food sure is cheap, but this place is like Walmart, you get for what you paid!

Tasteless food. Do you guys know about seasoning? I don't mean the picante you bring to cover-up the bad taste. Could you remove some tables from middle of restaurant, So crampy you can hear everybody's

conversation, cough, smells, etc.....Awfull...Never will come back!!!

Best Cuban food for your buck!. I have been going to Sergio's now for many years, and I prefer this cuban restaurant to all others in the Miami area. The staff is very friendly, the food is Oh so good, and the best part about it, its CHEAP! If your looking for a good cuban steak sandwich, or for the largest pan con bistec in town, then head to Sergio's, you won't be dissapointed.
