VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. My car was overheating. I have a mechancal background and knew it was the thermostat. I took my car here and told them that. 2 days later they said it was a fan and the bill will be $972. They kept saying the part was on backorder. 2 WEEKS later they called and said iy is still over heating and it needs a themostat. EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD THE THEM PROBLEM WAS. At my insistance they put the old fan back in and ate the labor. But only because I agreed to their $423 bill for a thermostat, which is a $47 part that they had in stock all along. They were trying to slam me for an extra $1000 of parts & work that was not needed.I didn't have my car for 2 weeks for a 1 hour job. VERY UNSCRUPULOUS SERVICE CENTER

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!. I took my car to this particular pep boys for a simple starting system diagnostic, I ended up paying for them to test a battery I purchased from them 1 month ago and they did nothing else, but still made me pay for the complete diagnostic. They kept trying to sell me unnecessary diagnostics, etc. (I guess they figured I knew nothing about cars since I am a woman!) I ended up having the car repaired somewhere else where they discovered I simply needed a new hose. I dealt with 4 different people in a three hour period and when they called to tell me my car was ready I still had to wait 30 minutes for them to finish some paperwork before I could get my keys. Then they made me walk through the shop and pull my car out of the bay myself. The entire time I was treated horribly and quite frankly I experienced the worst customer service of my life. Please never take your car here, they will try to rip you off!
