BEWARE.
My dad had vascular disease. He was staying there for about 2 months and was expected to come home. A few days before his release, he complained of foot pain and was crying out in pain the whole
night and no one paid attention. No doctor was called. When I came to visit him the very next day (I visited him every day), he was crying in pain and said he didn't sleep at all from the pain. I took off his sock and his foot was gangrene! The nurses STILL WOULDN'T CALL THE DOCTOR. All the nurses that came into his room said that it was normal for his foot to be purple! The head nurse told me this too!! He had never stayed up the whole night crying in pain, so it wasn't like he does this routinely. Plus, his leg was turning ashen white and it was cold!!!
I'm not even a medical person and I knew that this was very serious!! Now, I wonder if any of the nurses at the Claridge have a legitimate nursing degree.
Immediately, I called the ER, he was rushed to the hospital, and the surgeon at the hospital said that he might lose his foot after emergency surgery. He had clots in his leg that needed to be removed surgically.
Thank goodness, he didn't lose his leg or foot, otherwise, I would have sued. I had contacted an attorney.
BEWARE!!!! Visit your loved one EVERYDAY if you have no choice but to place them here.
Also, the nurses believe in heavily medicating the elderly people who have senility. This only serves to KILL THEM MORE QUICKLY.…
So far the best. My mom has been at this nursing home for the past eight years. My mom has received the best care from all the staff. They are very caring and have a very kind heart. I was so against her going to a nursing home but after the warm welcoming we wanted to give them a try. Trust me I have not regretted it not even once.…
