It's nice to see that every negative review on this site about Valente Brothers has at least a couple of blatant lies. The Valente brothers received a black belt from a rich guy? - they received their belts from Helio Gracie himself. That they try to sell you t-shirts and DVDs? - haha ridiculous! That they make you call them professor? - Everyone there calls each other by first name, including the Valentes. I wonder, who is it that benefits from putting out these ridiculous lies? I have been training here for many years and hope to for many more years to come. The quality of instruction, cleanliness, and professionalism is unmatched. The first class is free! Come to the free into class and learn the truth for yourself.

The Real Deal. Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu is definitely the place to be if you are looking for real self-defense in a clean, safe, and family oriented place. The brothers the run the school teach practically all classes and are black belts under the creator of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hélio Gracie!

The best around. To the guys who didn't like this school, you didn't give it a chance. They have everything here that will prepare you for both street fight self defense situations and competitions. The classes are broken up so that you may train as you wish. I've gotten in excellent shape here and the training is outstanding. Highly recommended to everyone

Authentic Gracie jiu-Jitsu. I have a been a student for 14 months and so far my experience has been wonderful. After visiting many schools in Miami, I must say that Valente Brothers is the number one school when it comes to organization, cleanliness and technique. Every group class starts on time, all professors follow a uniform curriculum, and everyone including teachers, staff and students are very nice, well mannered and helpful. When I chose this school I expected to learn self-defense but I never expected the things I learned about life. Professor Valente is indeed a real life coach.

My experience. Hmm, was on vacation in Miami (I'm from another school in NY - Gracie affiliated) and obviously got there late. Walked to front desk and the lady said "Oh, the class is almost done" with which I responded with "Oh, ok well can I just do some rolling (sparring) after they're done with the class afterwards (the schedule had an "S" which I interpreted as sparring)? She looked at me as if I had two heads. She said "They're finished after this." I just responded with "Oh, thank you" and left the building. Oh well, every school has a different curriculum from each other but dang, no free mat time on a Saturday after class?

VALENTE'S GRACIE JIU-JITSU ACADEMY. The Valente brothers are true professors and the only KEEPERS of Grandmaster Helio Gracie's Jiu-Jitsu. I was a student for many years and had to move away from Miami due to work related reasons. Brothers, Pedro and Gui Valente taught me and my family the teachings of Jiu-Jitsu on and outside the mat. I learned the Jiu-Jitsu philosophy, diet, and the most practical self-defense system.

Professor Con. They ask us call them professor.. Such a great joke.

There brothers are using his master's big name without hard training.

Also His rich friend gave them money for fake black belt. Then they have big school.

They should stop con.

Master Pedro Valente has got Black belt from Grand Master Helio Gracie.

Some Jiu-Jitsu school are crazy hug each other.

Our academy teach you real Self-Defense Drill and real fight.

People love our school and our school is so big!

Watch out for small school and un professional look school.

Mr kata jiu-jitsu. If you want to learn real self defense sign up at any grappling school but here, people don't do real training it is all fake. It is like karate katas, they don't spar just do self defense techniques that don't work. The gym is big and the instructors never competed or achieve anything besides paying big bucks to the Gracie family to use their name on the window.

If you want to compete, get in shape and learn real self defense this is not the place to train, besides having a business degree in business ,Mr.Valente is great at marketing his academy.

I am a business man and I have no desire to compete, but I want to get in shape and I hate katas. My experience there was horrible.

Real. It has been one year since our children joined the Gracie Miami real jiu-jitsu school. The school has inspired each of our children to strive for greatness in martial arts and in their life outside of the Dojo. Our children have grown in skill and personal confidence. We have witnessed positive changes not only in our family, but also in other families that have joined the school.

Valente Brothers encourage individual skill, teamwork, trust, and respect. The lessons learned will be lifelong. This Dojo truly wants their students to succeed.
