best nails!!!!

I recently moved back to miami and had my nails done with Elizabeth! She was wonderful, best manicure and pedicure i've ever had!!! They do all their pedicures on spa chairs that have their own tv set up to them. Definitly my new weekly nail place!

I stopped by Surme after a stressful day at work followed by holiday shopping and the people at the salon were wonderful. They pampered me from the moment I walked in! Anyone that stops by here for sure needs to try sylvia's cuban coffee...it's to die for!!!!!

The atmosphere of the salon is very serene and relaxing and the personalities of the employees match the aura of this salon. O another thing I noticed about Surme was how clean they were!! They disinfected all there tools, put it in a sterilizer and cleaned the pedicure buckets in front of the client, something that I'm not used to seeing at other salons that I've been too!

Everyone def needs to stop by and get a mani/pedi at surme!! And ask for ELIZABETH!!!!

Not a very good place for your money

After reading much reviews and even being referred to Surme by a very close friend, I decided to pay it a visit.

I had to travel a bit but I didn't mind since this place was apparently "the" place to be at, I was greatly disappointed.

I booked Armin for brazilian keratin and a simple layered cut. Armin was overbooked that day and didn't see me for about two hours into my appointment as he was doing another keratin, luckily for me The Falls was right across so I had some entertainment.

The overbooking is understandable, however, it was the way he and his staff came across and making it seem as if it were my fault that really made me upset.

I finally sit at the chair and Armin begin's the process, even though I specified I wanted to be cut first so I can finally decided whether or not I wanted the treatment. Armin is one to spend a lot of time on his phone texting, making calls and planning out his social life as opposed to listening to the concerns and needs of his clients.

The treatment he performed on me was very rushed, as he was overbooked, it was overpriced and he barely bothered to ask me about my thoughts or concerns...he didn't even bother to make simple conversation with me.

Some people like this type of service, the one where you just get a stylist that wants to work and pass you along, however, I like my stylist to be a bit more social and at least interested in something other than his cell phone.

Definitely not coming back.

The ambience however was very pleasing and upscale.

Worst experience at a salon!

I went to Surme to have my eyebrows done. My appointment was with Marie. She was very nice when I got there, and kept saying how perfect my eyebrows looked. She tried to sell me a facial, a hair stylist and even someone she knew who was running for governor. I just wanted to go in and have my eyebrows done and leave, I didn't need sales pitch after sales pitch. Upon returning home, my father informed me that my brows were completely uneven (I wear glasses, so it's hard to tell how perfect they are when it's tough to see). I went back to have her fix them. I told her that my left brow was much thicker than the right. SHE STARTED PLUCKING THE RIGHT BROW!!!! I couldn't believe it. The woman then found other things that she hadn't finished when I came in the first time. She handed me the mirror, I took one look in it and almost burst into tears. My brows were completely different shapes. It was as if a blind person had done my brows. I really couldn't believe how bad a job she did. DO NOT GO TO SURME TO HAVE YOUR BROWS DONE BY MARIE! Save yourself the horror and go somewhere else.

By the way, I gave this one star because I had to rate it, but really, if there was an option I wouldn't have given any!
