The Real Deal

If you really LOVE comics in all of their mad, silly, 4-color magic, as I have for 40 years now, and especially if you're a collector, you would happily cross an alligator-filled, land mine spiked swamp to find a really excellent stash. OK, maybe I exaggerate a little. My point is, these people writing in about the store's appearance and tidiness should maybe leave their white gloves at home, if it's comics you are after and not a sanitation certificate.

I found Xavier (the "staff" I met) to be both personable and helpful. (Hey, he loves Daredevil! How bad can he be?) And the owner, Jorge, has been approachable, generous with his time and advice, and a fair dealer.

So yes, the place definitely needs a housekeeper. But to me, the bottom line is whether or not the books have been taken care of. Condition is king in today’s market, for better or worse, and I care much more about what’s in the mylar sleeves than whatever might be on the floor. That is why I am there, and the reason I go back.

If you’re ready to leave your white gloves at home, check it out. Make up your own mind.

Worst comic stores in Miami, avoid please. Fire hazard

Of all the comic stores I been too. This place is the worst. It's hard to find everything there and the people are less than helpful. I would ask for where a comic is, and most of the time, I just get pointed to where a bunch of boxes are with no help. There's fast food items all over the places and I even found a burger wrapper while searching through a comic box. Disgusting!!!. Most of the comics aren't prices on fairly considering how most of them aren't really taken care of and these people never heard of the dollar bin that most good stores have. I can see why this is the oldest comic store, the age shows and it's a fire hazard too. Mac's and comics and anime is the best in terms of helpful people, everything in place and a better shopping experience. A & M just has hard to find stuff, that's it. I feel like i have to wash my hands throughly once done shopping. That store didn't improve in age for obvious reasons. The guy there annoying and oh yeah, he cares if you put the comics in the right order yet, the whole store is one big mess. I would take it putting the comics where they belong seriously if the store is clean, organized. You know what, its obvious they don't care because they are 1 of the few comics store in the area. By far, Mac's is much better and the best of the kendall area. Go there rather than that disaster of a comic shop.

• Pros: Hard to find items, if you lucky, you might find something decently priced, new comics on time.
• Cons: annoying retailer, smells, glutter mess, fast food wrappers and items all over, there's inapporiate material for a comic shop for children. poor customer service, hard to access items.

I LOVED IT

Store has about 30 years worth of comics and memorabilia, Almost anything imaginable, prices are reasonable, this is definately the place to spend some time in and find some great items. Its a bit messy since it its packed front to back with merch, which to me is great since im tired of walking into shops around Miami that have like 100 items in inventory, and parking can be a pain, but well worth taking an hour and shopping there.
