On Saturday January 12,2008 my wife went to Lucila to place an order for close to $200 to pay for a cake for my niece's wedding .After she had placed the order my needed to use the rest room and ask the clerk for permission. She was DENIED.. She was told that it was only for the employees and that the owner did not allowed any clients to use the bathroom. My wife called me crying. She went to Mc Donalds and used the facilities there.I told my wife to cancel the order and go to another bakery. It seems to me that if these people do not care about the clients we should not buy anything from them............
Cons: service

"Sweet Art by Lucila" might have superb designs and the cakes they make taste great but their service at their South Miami bakery was a terrible experience for my wife and I. Here below is a email that we sent to "Sweet Art by Lucila". Hi First of all that my wife and I want to say is that not only myself but also my wife and with our family and close friends will not step into your business again. My wife and I went over to your South Miami bakery a couple of days ago. We were expecting service and a warm welcome to your business and all we got was bad service. We were never waited on or even asked if we needed help. As us awaiting our first baby, we are so excited about being parents. Well we were looking for a superb bakery that is excellent with every aspect of cake baking we went to see "Sweet Art by Lucila". I sure got to tell you that we felt upset and insulted that we were ignored and when I had to go over to one of your employees to ask for some help she pretty much didn't have no interest in helping, or asking us usual question to what type of engagement we are planning to do! She placed the book on the counter, pointed at it and walked away. You tell me if that is good practices and being courteous to your customers? We had a hard time looking for our baby shower cake and in the end we just picked up and left. Not even a "How may I help you" or "hello", or "What type of cake do you need", or "How many people are attending your engagement" and "When is the date". I have to say just because of the amount of business you do for your clients with custom cakes and also your other selections you sell to the local supermarkets doesn't mean you forget about your customers that not only take their time like myself from my busy day but also drive a long distance of miles to get to your establishment to only get ignored and terrible service. Thank you. unhappy customer
Pros: Well known for excellent cakes
Cons: Terrible service
