Miami-Dade County's Haulover Beach Park is the only beach in Florida where clothes are truly optional. Neither Uncle Sam or the local sheriff are going to hassle you in your birthday suit. It's hard to stumble upon this beach and be surprised. Government-erected signs let visitors know what they can expect here and the boundaries are marked clearly. So if your significant other sneaks off and is caught here, don't fall for the "I didn't realize ..." excuse. Within the half-mile strip of sand, you will find hundreds of visitors and locals sunbathing, swimming and playing volleyball, all in the buff. The beachgoers here truly constitute a cross-section of the population, defying any classification of gender, race or nationality.

Haulover Beach Sports & Recreation, Camping, Parks & Beaches That is the description per Citysearch but once again a long distance phone call revealed that there is no camping there. The attendant on the phone was able to recommend an actual campground though.

C'mon...you're on vacation! Just take off your clothes (like the hundreds of other people here) and have a very comfortable time letting it all hang out. It's an unforgettable experience, and it's totally fun and relaxing, whatever your gender, size, etc. Just went for my first time, won't be my last.
