We Love our DOG!!!. Well, first of all it's the first time we have adopted a dog. The front desk girl's are not the friendliest people. Asked

several questions about dogs we had seen and they told us to come back as they weren't ready. There was one in particular we wanted and luckly a WONDERFUL woman named Dayle heard us talking, she seemed to be a manager, she found out when he would be ready and the NEXT DAY WE GOT STEWIE. WE LOVE STEWIE our black Cocker. Dayle was AMAZING , SHE GETS MORE THAN FIVE STAR'S. If everyone in that place were like her MORE animals from their shelter would be adopted. SHE HELPED us all the way OUT THE DOOR the next day with our dog. THANK YOU DAYLE, I hope the Humane Society recognizes SPECIAL PEOPLE LIKE YOU...

Great place but get all the info. The Humane Society is a great place to get a pet. The staff is very helpful and will answer all your questions. They even have dog obedience classes.

My only recomendation is that you check whether the previous owner (if there was one) left any info about the personality and habits of the dog. Owners usually fill a form with info like energy level, how the dog behaves when left alone etc. It is kept in the animals "folder". Also, check the health record of the animal before agreeing to adopt.

I love Sophi!. I was watching TV, when the pet of the week comes on. I can't see her face very well because the news man can't hold on to her very well. So, the best view I got was of her nostrils sniffing the camera lens. But it was enough. I went to the Humane Society and signed up for the Rottwieler mix. She is now 6 years old and the best dog I could ever ask for. I'm getting sappy just writing about it. So, I am very happy with this adoption process.
