Cuban food. Very good meal, but some mistakes:

My daugther's order, the eggs didn't come like we original ordered.

My Cesar Salad never came to the table, so I ask for to go.

Before I drive to the restaurant with all my family, I call and ask if I could use 2 coupons at the same time; they say yes. When I send the bill back with the 2 coupons (that didn't have any exepcion print it) with the credit card; the manager came and say that couldn't be and the system doesn't let him to do that, because I ask to divided in to bills.

Oh! still more!

When we park and start to walk to the restaurant a man advise us, because like a tsunami coming up to the parking lot and it smelled horrifing and the water was spoiled and dirty. This same smell we feel in the restaurant because the table was near the kitchen door.

So, my first visit wasn't like I expected.

GREAT Homestyle Cuban Food. Contrary to other complaints made, this is by far THE BEST Cuban restaurant you can go to in Miami. I emphasize the word restaurant, not cafeteria like Latin America. You can go as casual as you want and feel at home; pets and smoking are permitted in their outdoor seating area.

I admit to the menu being cheesy for having the Spanish-to-English pronunciations, but let's face the reality of it...we're in Miami and we get a lot of tourists, many of which don't speak Spanish or have a clue how to pronounce some of the words. So this works to their advantage.

The food is fantastic and you get good value for your dollar. The waitresses are almost always good looking women, yet can be unattentive or a little too formal at times (unless you're a cop, then they're all over you! lol). Overall, I say to ignore all of the other negative reviews left on this page by other people and listen to this one. This is my favorite joint for Cuban food (so much so that I come here rather than eating the Cuban food made at home!). I love it, and am sure you will, too, if you go in there unbiased and just give it a try.

NOTE: They are no longer 24-hours! Currently they close at 12am Sunday-Thursday, and close at 3am Fridays and Saturdays...just a heads up.

Good Food, not 24 hours?. Not sure if it was because it was the day before Thanksgiving, but I went there Wed night at 2 AM and it was closed.

Food at Sergios is good though. I do recommend it.

Big portions, Open 24 hrs, Good eat. I went to Sergios for the first time and it was relatively good. I had the fish which was sadly smaller than I expected but the rice and beans were tasty and fresh. In addition to our meals we had the black bean hummus which came out to be really good and interesting. Served with fresh cut plantain fries, it was a real twist on a greek favorite. The yuca was not good at all though, tasted like an unseasoned potatoe in hot water. Other than that their fresh squeezed oj is worth trying as well as their authentic tres leches.

Cuban food - plain & simple. Not the very best in town & there is definitely nothing gourmet about this restaurant but if you are looking for regular Cuban fare with no frills, this is it. Very generous, tasty portions of the basics in Cuban cuisine.

ordinary. I guess this restaurant would be good for..... i dont know maybe someone who is hungry late at night and nothing else is open? It is ordinary cuban food. Not the best cuban food. Service was ok. Not a friendly charismatic waitress but not and unenthusiastic one either.

best eggs and bacon, ham, etc.... We go every Saturday, have a great breakfast consisting of two eggs over easy, bacon for my girlfriend and ham for me ( real ham ) and toast. Two freshly squeezed OJ's and two cafe con leche ( Lattes) each. We split an empanada ( argentinian patty) when we arrive. $17.40!!!!!!!! And great!!!!!!
