COMIDA CUBANA!. I've been coming to this restaurant for two years and I have yet to be disappointed. The food is authentic just like mama use to make. The service is curtius and the prices can't be beat. The fried red snapper is off the hook! I highly recommend this restaurant to any Cuban Food Lover.

Worst Cuban sandwich in the history of earth. As a cuban born man and a life-long aficianado of our food, it fills with me great sadness to have to say that the cuban sandwich, a staple of our culture, has, in the hands of the 'chefs' of Villa Habana become nothing less than a disgrace.

Last night I ordered such a sandwichl from the normally excellent restaurant. My girlfriend picked it up, brought it home and served it on a plate. It tasted just like it looked - soggy, lacking meat, the bread not baked toasty warm and crisp, the cheese un-melted, and the pork emanating a faint odor and taste of dead flesh.

Wow...what a surprise!! I threw this disgusting replica of a sandwich in the garbage and settled for a peanut butter and jelly. Whatever happened to the Esquina de Tejas, where a real Cuban made a real cuban sandich which was, not only filling and good, but made with love and care?? Hey Villa Habana, fire your sandwich chef and get a cuban to make your food...pride will fill the gaps that lack of talent and desire have created.

REAL CUBA STARTS HERE. When I was taken to this classic Cuban haunt by a new cuban friend on my first visit to Miami a few years ago,I was astonished beyond words.My first exposure to real cuban food is still my favorite.I've been back many times and have never been disappointed.the value factor is off the scale,particularly if you go at lunch time.Check out the daily specials and go back when your fav is on.the service is top,real olde worlde.It does make a slight difference if someone inyour party speaks the mother tongue,but not enough to annoy.Love this place.It is a kick to see all the fancy older cuban ladies socialize and go through the customs of their era.
