Editorial Review for The Big Cheese – by Jennifer Osorio Kissell

In Short
This hangout near the University of Miami is a favorite of students and local families, who appreciate the casual atmosphere and Italian-American cuisine. Decor is limited to sports memorabilia, including pictures of the Miami Heat dancers and signed football helmets. The menu features a wide array of pizza, pastas, subs and salads, plus crowd-pleasers like fried calamari and buffalo wings. Pizzas are loaded with fresh ingredients, including Wisconsin cheese and tomatoes from California.

Love "THE BIG CHEESE" had not been there until recently, when my friend dragged me there, I thought it was a loud kiddie place. Much to my surprise, I had a great time with a nice college crowd and pizza junkies like myself. Food was exceptional. Great menu, pizza is always a la carte with large portions to share (for all you girls). For a sports junkie like myself, the walls are a history of not only UM sports, but all the miami sports stars. Definately a fun place to hang out with friends and family.

Pros: Great place for casual dining with sports fans, Food, Service

Cons: Parking is a little limited.

Good, cheap, plentiful food for those who need it most--college students and families.  See the full editorial review.
