A Favorite South Miami Bistro.
There has to be some uneveness in satisfaction in this tiny, busy, crowded place -
but that's okay. For every dissatisfied soul there are several other delighted customers
who will become loyal followers. Reservations are a must on the weekends. Two of my
favorites are the lamb shanks and mussels with pomme frites - excellent!
Wines are reasonably priced.

Better French Food in a Mall Food Court.
I have eatent at several french restaurants in the Miami/Coral Gables area, and this by far was the worst. I ordered the scallopes, and they over cooked and bland. My wife had the grouper and it was under cooked. The service was non-existent, and because they do not close the door, and the kitchen almost shares your table, it was extremly hot. If you want good French food, try Boucheron in Coconut Grove. Much better.

Make a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays..
This is a great place to eat. We have been there several times. Just the two of us and we have also taken our friends and family there. We go there whenever in the neighborhood! Enjoy.

Poor service, decent food.
If you are willing to keep up with rude waiters, this French restaurant has good food. It is quite small and cramped. We had to wait after making a reservation in advance. I left the restaurant thinking of the stereotype of the arrogant Paris people, such poor customer service.

Very rude.
My husband and I attempted to go to Cafe Pastis on a Thursday night at 9:40 pm. The told us they were closed. We said that we thought that they didn't close until 11 p.m. The manager said that that was only on weekends. We saw the hours sign on the outside and it said that they didn't close until 10 p.m. How rude!

Great food.
Great food and ambiance (casual but classy), love the outdoor tables. Fridays or Saturdays always full, make reservations.

A very good French bistro comes in very small package..
In Short
Once inside, you'll be seduced by the cramped, noisy, engagingly funky bistro that calls to mind Paris' wealth of excellent little neighborhood eateries. From the broom-closet-sized kitchen comes the kind of homey, satisfying, no-frills cuisine that never goes out of fashion. There's escargot, fine spinach salad with roasted pears and Roquefort, and the classic steak frites.

so great!.
The food here is so fantastic! Reminds me of eating in one the many side bistros in Paris. You get everything, great food, amazing service and just a casual relax atmosphere that you can't beat...

Amazing.
If you are looking for a warm, inviting restaurant, Cafe Pastis is your place. I have never felt so at ease and content at a restaurant. The most amazing thing about Pastis, besides the fabulous food, is the staff. They are the most endearing and genuinely inviting individuals that I have ever met. No wonder Pastis is always full, people cant seem to get enough!
