UnAmerican Bar and Restaurant. If you are an English speaking real American. Do not spend any money in this phony wanna be American Bar and Restaurant. Looks like it was taken over by Columbian Maifia. terrible Bar service. I don;t think they knew how to speak English. I was a patron of this Bar when there were real Americans/. Now they ignore you, or treat you with disrespect. GO TO THE IRISH BAR DOWN IN SOUTH MIAMI. AT LEAST THEY GREET AMERICANS WITH RESPECT

Fox rocks. Best in city. Fox is liked for its atmosphere and wonderful services. I love fox's fried chicken. It is always well prepared and served hot. Staff is very professional. Best place to hand out at South Beach.

Happy it's still around. I was born and raised in the area. I was home recently after about 4 years and stopped in for some Thumb Bits. My favorite. While Miami seems to be losing a lot of it's character (I found out that Old Cutler Inn was gone on my last visit), it's great to be able to go somewhere that still makes Miami feel like home.

Let's go to Fox's. I think my title say's it all. Where else can you get such delicious pan fried snapper, or savory tender steaks with a dipping sauce called "Thumb bits". Daily specials are all excellent too. Im trying to find something negative but I can't. Three dinning areas, all a little different. The main lounge room has a bar and wine colored banquet booths with a dim atmosphere that goes great with a martini done right, sidecar on ice. The place may look a little worn, but thats because its been there since 1946 and the loyal customers dont want it touched or "gentrified", I agree. They have a package window out back and a parking lot for customers. Park and walk under black and white canopy and up inside Fox's and sit back and enjoy.

A shady retro hideout serving up comfort food.. In Short
This joint is all about Sinatra, cigarettes and red lights bathing patrons in alcoholic anonymity. A South Miami staple since 1946, it exists in a time warp, with vinyl booths and subtle details reminiscent of the late '40s and early '50s. The comfort-food menu includes a French dip, chicken fingers and french fries.

is some secluded rendevouz. First things first. Foxes has a great litle package store window that has kept many a gables and south miami party going into the wee hours..

Stepping into Foxes is like stepping into a time warp. Red booths with low lighting, Peggy Lee on the jukebox, and great comfort food prepared quickly and perfectly. Fried chicken is a standout. Homemade Blue Cheese dressing always thik and hearty. Good fish selections and standard steaks. This is a great "hip without trying to be " place. Enjoy!

South Miami's old dependable. Over 55 years and still the best in the city. The place is cool without trying to be. Fox's has had its act together for many years because of good management and hard working staff. The food is american comfort, and always very good. The cocktails are the best in town. Ive been to many places, bars and restaurant, but Fox's is still my favorite because they dont make many changes, its always dark and cozy. The aroma of fish and steaks going by you will have you ordering off the extensive menu in no time at all,, enjoy Fox's because its the last of the old Miami bar atmosphere.

Okudagloria, Your Review is So Wrong!!!. It is obvious that the person who wrote the last review HAS NO IDEA what they are talking about!! I am a UM student who LOVES going to Fox's for amazing food and a great happy hour. According to the last reviewer, Fox's has an "older crowd". Well, I can tell you starting at 11:00 p.m. Fox's looks more like a popular South Beach hang out (without the attitude)!! Fox's rocks and should be given a more respectful review than that of okudagloria!!!!

Fantastic Experience!!. I must say that I was really impressed with Fox's! I learned that this restaurant has been open since 1946...and it is still a hip and great place to dine. The food was excellent. I had the pan fried snapper, which I highly recommend. Fox's is a rare gem of a restaurant!!!!
