Unsafe, dirty hotel. unfriendly staff, terrible breakfast, police was fingerprinting evidence of a room break-in when I was there. Never felt safe. Staff speaks better Spanish than English. Even though it may be cheap, this is not worth the money. Not recommended for families or any vacationers, especially from outside the US.

Great Deal better then most hotels on miami beach. Service is great hotel is art deco style very chic and rooms are clean

An affordable, family-operated, beachfront hotel near the Bal Harbour Shops.. The Scene
Built in 1940 and completely renovated in 1997, this pastel-blue beachfront hotel isn't the fanciest place in town. The accommodations and amenities are basic, but a distinctive Art Deco charm makes up for it. The furnishings are modern and the decor is cheerful. Although there is no restaurant on the premises, there are numerous bistros and sidewalk cafes with umbrella dining within walking distance. The Bal Harbour Shops are close by.

The Details
The hotel has 49 rooms, including a Penthouse Suite with a full-length mural of Ocean Terrace beach. The suites feature private balconies. Some of the oceanfront rooms offer a porthole with a view of the ocean, as well. The door of the original elevator is decorated in brass and has been maintained, as have the terrazzo floor and keystone fireplace in the lobby. Complimentary beach towels and lounge chair rentals are available.

Bad hotel. Not a very nice hotel. Everything is out dated. Beach is accross the street. Parking is on the street for about $10-12 a day.
