Lines at lunch time during the week from noon to 1:30pm. Arnie & Richies is a decent Jewish Deli. They have expanded their menu and renovated recently. I've tried several items on their new menu (Philly chicken sandwich - plain and boring; Italian wrap - strangely had no flavor), and in the future I plan to stick to the things they've always done well.

They make a good grilled Rueben (not the monster Rubens you'll find at some deli's, but tasty and consistent), their burgers are also reliable and their salads are all pretty good. I don't care for their potato salad or cole slaw (friends agree).

Service is where this restaurant drops a grade in my opinion. It seems all the servers are in a rush whether they are busy or not. Often the servers are friendly enough, but on ocassion they are just plain rude. I've seen a server literally bark at a single customer for sitting at a 4 top when there was no hostess on site to seat people. A polite request might have gone further with the customer and with me.

The renovation has made Arnie and Richies more pleasant, but they need to do a better job of cleaning during the day. Today the floors were disgusting and there were gnats flying everywhere.

So, if you like a real Jewish deli (and can pick out what items a Jewish Deli would normally serve on the menu) and you're willing to put up with spotty service and questionable cleanliness - this may want to be a place to consider. The locals will always be there, so if you're sightseeing in the area and seeing where the locals go is on your agenda - this is authentic.

Old-school deli treats locals to stacked sandwiches that run heavy on everything but pretenses.. In Short
In the midst of glitzy Miami Beach, this casual New York-style deli has become an institution. Easygoing regulars duck under the unassuming Art Deco awning and seat themselves at tables set with plastic plates, cups and flatware. Ask for a menu if you need one, then order kosher specialties ranging from knishes and pastrami on rye to smoked whitefish salads or herring in sour cream sauce. The service is brisk and can be brusque.
