Excellent food, service and ambiance – Excellent food, service and ambiance, beautiful views of the ocean, elegant but confortable setting, have also a very nice and relaxing piano bar to zip a drink while waiting for your table (ask for a table with a view).
Average – We were guests in The Alexander Hotel recently and decided to have dinner at Shula's the first night of our stay. We were very disappointed. I had the New York Sirloin which was tough, dry and flavorless. My own steak on my George Foreman grill at home tastes much better!
Service and ambience were good to very good. Prices were outrageous. And how dare they add on an automatic 18% gratuity! I would not return.
4th down and punt – Very over priced. Shula's charges prime beef prices for Black Angus beef. Steaks were tough and not very flavorful. Service was slow and not up to the quality you should get for the prices charged. If you want top quality food and services you can't beat Morton's of Chicago, Ruth Crist, or Michaels in Key West.
SUPREMO – The food was wonderful and the amount of food was overwhelming. Service was excellent and we all had a wonderful time. The prices are not cheap but it was worth every penny. I highly recomend.
So good I came back – Some must just have very unfortunate evenings...but both times I dined here the food was beyond belief. The service was impressive...as it should be for the price.
AWFUL – EXTREME PRICE FOR FOOD THAT IS ORDINARY AT BEST. OVERALL POOR. BUT WORKERS GREAT.
WOW, get ready. – Impressive as soon as you walk in the door! Seated in a very nice, cozy booth type arrangement. We were handed the menu and, the waiter wheeled over a cart displaying all of the various cuts of meat and a very large lobster. We could see why the prices on the menu were $$$. The service was impecable. The food was prepared exactly as we requested. The portion sizes were so large, we could have realistically ordered one meal and split it. It was OUTSTANDING. Pricey, yes. But, if you want to experience an exceptional meal from beginning to end, maybe for a very special occasion, this would be it. Our bill? Over $300 for two. ENJOY!
Should have stayed with football – Aside from the menu hand-painted on a football (which is available for $350!), there is nothing there worth a visit and the cost of the meal. It took 3 times to get the Filet Mignon cooked correctly, and in the end it was overcooked. This is not the fine art of french cooking. Yes, they were very apologetic (except for my waitress), and yes, they picked up the tab. Still not worth a second trip. Grossly over-hyped restaurant.
Football -- Yes !! Steak -- No Way !! – I visited this establishment and was very unhappy. I would not under any circumstances suggest to anyone to go to Shula's for dinner as the food was, on my visit, sent back three (3) times and still was not what was ordered when given to me on the third (3rd) try.
Others in my party were also very unhappy with the service and their meals.
If you want a good meal -- DO NOT come to this place!!!
solid steak – very good food and a great atmospher, i certainly will recommend this restaurant to friends
