Shula's and Applebee's Compete. I bought a Shula's gift certificate for my daughter and her fiancée. He had just returned from Afghanistan after being away for 8 months and I thought this would be a great welcome home present. I was wrong. I was embarrassed when I heard about the food. To summarize, the steak was bad and the shrimp was overcooked and the sides were cold. Suffices to say they left the majority of their food on plate. Their total bill was $190.00, which at a Bern's Steakhouse (Tampa), and Abe & Louie's (Boca), Capital Grill (Ft Lauderdale) and restaurants of that ilk is standard, was way overpriced for the sub-standard fare that quite frankly could have been served at a Chili's or Applebee's. I have been to a few of the Shula's restaurants, some more than a few times and have not had a bad experience, but here's the clincher: I wrote Shula's regarding the disappointing dinner on 9/20/2010 and as of today, 10/14/2010 haven't heard back, not even any type of promise to improve, give them another chance or apology. The message I got from this experience is that Shula's new business model is to gouge at your wallet the first time because they don't care if you come back. It's a shame that Shula's tries to play in a market they're obviously outclassed in by most steakhouses I've been to.
I sat at the Bar.
Forget about sitting at a table for dinner, sit at the bar. Alex is the best men you can have behind the stick. Great steak, great service and most important great booze. Managemnt is very professional and very accomadating to the customer base. Bottom line go there and you will not be dissappointed.

Thank you alex.was a lady playing piano keep on asking other guests what music they like to listen to,was fun
Great Steaks Great View. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE WAIT STAFF WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS,FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND EFFIE CENT. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. THE STEAKS VERY TENDER AND WELL PREPARED EXACTLY THE WAY WE LIKED (nothing had to be sent back). THE LOBSTER BISQUE AND THE FRENCH ONION SOUP WERE EXCELLENT. FOR DESSERT (it was my son n laws b-day) THEY SERVED A RICH CHOCOLATE CAKE THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. RICH MOIST AND VERY CHOCOLATY. OVER ALL WE HAD A VERY PLEASURABLE TIME AND ENJOYED OUR TIME THERE. WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN."
Shula's winning tradition on the field continues at this classy steakhouse chain..
The chop house's elegance is indisputable, yet there is an oddly casual spirit to a place in which the menu is written on a football and set at your table on a kicking tee. Certified Angus Beef doesn't come cheap, and the sides are priced a la carte, but the nationally renowned steakhouse always finds a way to make the cut for those willing to pay for quality.
The worst meal ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I would never go back. The service was awful. We told the waiter we would like to have a drink before ordering. He came back to the table 4 times in five minutes to take our order. We had to keep reminding him we were not in a hurry, then he rudely said " aren't you hungry yet"? We were never shown the food cart and explained any of the menu as all the other tables surrounding us. We felt very discriminated against. After we did order our dinner it came quickly and was not prepared the way we ordered it. It was very marginal, not worth the price. The manager did try to resolve all the issues of the evening, he was very pleasant. But quite honestly the damage was done. Very disappointing, would never go back and not recommend to anyone.
Great Steak. I enjoyed eating at a fine steak restaurant. I enjoyed the steak a lot, and the twice baked potato a la carte was great. I enjoyed the staff, they were very helpful. The waiter was great, and enjoyed the jovial attitude. All in all, great place to go.
Not Bad. Had a business dinner there. We sat in the back room which has a so-so view of the ocean but feels a bit detached, I recommend the main dining room. Steak was good but not what I would call magnificent, the one real bright spot was the beefsteak tomato salad which is fantastic. Bread and sides just don't compare with the likes of S&W, although they do make a very nice hollandaise sauce for the brocolli. While we did get reasonably good service, it could use some polish; the main course came about 30 seconds after the salads left the table, and waiters came by many times to ask if we wanted things another waiter had already taken the order on. Given the very nice decor and location, with a few upgrades it really could be a much better restaurant.
Terrible Service!. We went to Shulas with a group on our recent trip to Miami. The service was terrible. THe food was very good, however, the lack of respect from our waitor made the meal seem very average. We had to constantly ask for drinks, bread, etc, although the waitstaff that supplied water was great! I expected much better and was very disappointed.
I would not recommed this place to anyone! Our waiter was lazy and he deeply offended us. It took 45 minutes just to get a coke. I don't eat salad but he thought we didn't want to pay for 2, so he split it. My husband ordered jumbo shrimp cocktail, I don't like seafood. He still split that up. But the icing on the cake was when he took it upon himself to split the baked potatoe that really got to us. He said they were so big he felt we would want to save money.
On top of the poor service and offensive behavior he added himself a nice 18% gratuity on the bill, which he did not earn. I would not go back here, it was a total waste of a time and money, totally overrated!!
Shulas at Miami Beach. If you are looking for something special! this is the place... very romantic & chic with an outstanding view to the Atlantic. Steaks are just great! split the salads, they are huge as well as desserts.
