Ask for Raul!!. I have to say we just had my sister's 40th bday party at Brownes and it was great! From my first phone call to inquire, right up until all 14 of us were getting pedicures while sipping champagne, they could not have been any nicer. I planned the party from New York and Raul made sure that everything was in order before I even got to Florida. And then the day of, he made sure everything was perfect so that we all enjoyed the most lovely girls morning together. Thank you to him and each of the technicians who helped us!!
Never Returning. I can't believe how much this place changed for the WORST! Years ago I used to visit this place and had wonderful experiences. Recently, my sister and I visited and not only did we wait 20 minutes for a scheduled mani/pedi, but in the end when we paid we were each given different prices and told that regardless of what the brochure says we have to pay more money because of who gave us the service..in other words, the nail technicians charged premium prices based on who they were. I told the girl that we wanted the price marked on the brochure and she said "oh well, take it up with the salon owner". What kind of answer is that??? How can you treat customers likes this? Now that I researched this salon I realize all the poor reviews. Had I read the reviews, I would NEVER had visited BROWNES & CO.!! There's a reason why the first floor is completely bare and the landlord is leasing it. NEVER GO HERE!

I can't believe this place is still open. I went there a couple of times and I felt as if I was slapped in the face. The place was filthy, unorganized and my manicure was the worst I ever had. This place is a joke and it takes up a prime piece of real estate up on LIncoln road - why?
Can we get some nice Bliss Spa or something else there?

somethings stinkin' on lincoln. this nasty woman does not deserve the staff she has. she is rude, vengeful, and frankly deserves to be locked out of her own establishment. i have gone there when i winter in miami beach but i won't go there again. wishing the staff the best. they truly do not deserve this boorish brute nicki....
Deserves to be shut down. Go somewhere else,no one should work or have their hair done in a horrible establishment such as Brownes. The owner makes Hitler seem like Barney! Shame on her!
I'm glad I'm not the only one.. This has pretty much been said by many of the people before me, but I cannot stress the point we're making. Down with Brownes & Co. South Beach! It's a necessary evil to save the staff and wake up the owners.
Support the Staff...Help Drop the Rates!. The overwhelming negative atmosphere is unavoidable. You can feel it from the moment you walk in. The staff try to be nice, but you can see it in their eyes. Tonight, I saw Tabitha's Salon Take Over, and now it all makes sense. Please! If you care about the staff of this salon, you will help get them out of their situation by boycotting the South Beach location and hitting the owner where she will hopefully notice--her pocketbook.
Terrible "boss". Nikki is not that person that everybody watch in the show last night-she's even worse-we just watch the top of the iceberg last night! Only person that don't realize that yet is Nikki hersrelf... just hope to see some changes now,we're not living on the 18th Century anymore and people that need to work for make a living does not deserve this kind of treatment! Respect is something that you earn because you deserve,not violating the privacy or threating others!!!

I truly feel compassion for the hairstylists that work at Brownes and Co. with Nikki as their "boss." I hope there is a way where the stylists can rally together and use the videotaping as a violation of their privacy and get out of their contracts to find jobs elsewhere.
No one deserves that type of treatment from an unhappy tyrant like Nikki. Nikki sure has some anger displacement issues. She says her employees are not her family or friends, well I am sure if her family and friends saw the episode, they would be appauled at such behavior, or suggest that she get some help!
The woman is absolutely delusional in her ideas of running a business. I think clients who see "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" episode should boycott their salons to make her understand that her employees are the ones that are making her money. Without them, she can't pay the bills.
