Horrible!!!. No A/C in first room; had to be moved. Shower was so hot, could not wash hair, then could not turn shower off. Shower ran entire night while we were at dinner despite telling front desk of the problem (he "forgot"). Came back to check on it; sat there for 1.5 hours while they tried to figure out what to do. Decided to move us back to non A/C room. Manager was RUDE and told us we were free to leave if we were unhappy. Entire night in SoBe ruined dealing with hotel. Ended up leaving at 2 am and finding a hotel in Miami. Worst hotel experience ever. Elevator broken.

Comfortable, fully equipped Art Deco suites near everything, yet off the strip.. The Scene
Built in 1939, this restored Art Deco hotel features 43 spacious guest rooms, studios and suites just a block from the beach. Within walking distance is outdoor Lincoln Road Mall, with a multitude of shops, restaurants and coffee houses, many of which are tucked under colorful umbrellas to accommodate people watching.

The Details
The rooms showcase period furnishings amid pastel accents. Amenities include morning newspaper, cable TV, hair dryers, irons and data ports. Discreet, recessed lighting adds a romantic touch. The American-style Cafe De Crest serves breakfast and lunch, either indoors or on the patio, and delivers room service. Guests can also eat in the tree-lined Tropical Courtyard to the accompaniment of soft, recorded jazz. Numerous package deals are available, particularly in the summer months. The hotel is popular for wedding parties.
