Editorial Review for Mac's Club Deuce – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
A long-time local favorite for its unpretentious divey-ness, Club Deuce attracts club kids, yuppies, bikers, tourists, transsexuals and even visiting celebrities. The clientele gets more interesting as the night progresses--stop by at about 3am for prime freakishness. There's a double horseshoe bar with a big-screen behind it, a lone pool table, some neon sculptures left over from a "Miami Vice" shoot and a jukebox with selections ranging from Sinatra to the Stones.

I have been to the deuce bar twice now. the first 5 years ago and when I turned up there were a couple of police cars dragging two guys away. This time I went a little earlier as it was about 3.30am. The bar is pretty cool and if you can get a seat round the back so you can watch the bar without having to hang out near the dealers it is fine. There were a couple of interesting looking ladies that may have given you a surprise if you drunk enough to fall for their charms. unfortunately all our party were still not that drunk which is a shame as that would have been the all time greatest stag story. Anyway the bar staff are great and I had handed over a 50 and a 20 for a 38 bill and she handed me the 20 back and the correct change. One word or caution though There are a number of drugg dealers in here that I am sure would take you down an alley and rob you blind. As a few of the lads that were there later heard a gunshot and the police turned up to a body in the road. But don't let this put you off as this is not a bad area and in 20 yards you are safe again and it is well worth a visit. Enjoy Big bad ox
Pros: cheap and open very late with interesting locals
Cons: pulling a tranny and maybe getting shot

If red carpet and long lines with $25 cover charges are what you're looking for stay away from The Deuce Bar. You won't find any VIP section or hot little hottie bringing you $300 dollar bottles of Grey Goose and chasers. Nope, this place smells bad and looks like it's never been swept - but you'll regret it if you don't at least have a beer in the joint! Yep, this one's a "don't miss" when visiting South Beach. See how the locals live at The Deuce Bar. www.TheDeuceBar. com I think is their website.
Pros: Dive
Cons: Dive
