the dessert was ok. i heard so much about this place from my cousin and the daily candy miami that i thought i would try it during my recent visit. i thought it was just ok. the place itself is small but comfortable. the service was a little bit wanting. my friend asked for a glass of water and coffee. she got the coffee but she never got her water (i got mine). the espresso ice cream was pretty good though.
Service bad, walked out without ordering.. I got an icy response when i asked to view the menu. Waited 5 minutes for someone to seat us. We waited 25 minutes while 3 tables around us that came in after us had there orders taken. We got up and left.
Pretty good brunch!!. After living in Chicago and New York city for the last five years, I trully found it hard to find a good brunch locale in south Florida. This place is as close to Chi town brunch as it gets. The first time I went, I had their homemade granola and yogurt (all right); the second time I had the chocolate /french toast stuffed with marshmellow (delicious) and my grandmother had pancakes layered with peaches and ice cream (very good): the last time I went with my boyfriend he had the tilapia with sweet potato mash (very good), unfortunately, I had already eaten... but I enjoyed the wine from their pretty fair selection. They do need more pancake/french toast options :)
Satisfy your sweet tooth with freshly baked treats at this laidback yet classy South Beach diner..

Guests that sidestep the stuffy restaurants that line Lincoln Road have an antidote in Icebox. The bright and cheery coffeehouse has an open air kitchen. Daily baked desserts are also on display. It's not all about the sweets, as local beachgoers and early bird clubhoppers come by for international eats like tortilla soup, spring rolls, and pumpkin ravioli on a perpetually changing menu. The weekend offers an extended brunch menu until 4pm.
Curry Chicken Breast AMAZING! German Chocolate Ice Cream Cake to die!.
I've been going to Ice Box since it started out as a small bakery maybe 8 years ago. They were an overnight success and expanded several years ago to include a full menu.
A late breakfast, lunch or dinner offers a good selection of entrees and amazing deserts. The service is attentive, but they are so popular and busy that sometimes there is a sense that the servers' lives are a bit hectic (the food totally makes up for anything this might detract from the experience).
My favorite entree is the curried chicken breast. It is simple and served with a choice of two side dishes. I've never had a desert here I didn't like (Oprah rated their cake the best in the USA!), but I find myself repeating the German Chocolate Ice Cream cake and the Chocolate BOMB more than any other.
Located 1/2 block from Lincoln Rd and ample parking, the Ice Box is not to be missed.
You will not find better deserts!!. This is the place for exotic and intriguing deserts, not to mention phenominal!! Great ice cream cakes, cookies, brownies and what ever may be the specialty of the day. The draw back is that you are never sure what deserts are available on any given day - always something different, but you'll find something enjoyable everytime.
Creative dishes and decadent desserts make this casual eatery a South Beach favorite..

Fitness buffs, fashionistas and business types dine at small wooden tables in a bright, modern space with a stainless-steel open kitchen, colorful art prints and hanging lights. The frequently changing menu offers grilled sandwiches and gourmet salads, as well as upscale takes on American comfort food, like the mango-pumpkin risotto, grilled ginger-marinated calamari salad and spicy Thai barbecued veal chops. Inside a glass case, desserts are showcased, including the sinfully sweet chocolate-raspberry cake.
A South Beach Jem. Ice Box Cafe is one of those rare finds in Miami Beach, just off Lincoln Road to allow for an very cozy atmosphere. I ate here for both Brunch and Dinner and had the homemade granola for brunch and Talipia for dinner. Both of the presenations were excellent but the taste were amazing, especially for the price point. I saved room for the Raspberry Chocolate Mouse Cake and walked away more than happy about my experience. Highly Recommended.
Maybe for a small group?. As brunch turned into a late lunch, we sadly realized that Ice Box Cafe isn't the best place for groups. The food went back twice: wrong orders, forgotten requests. It is a cute place, but the food is average and the service needs work -- even for Miami.
Very good. Laidback atmosphere with reasonable prices (especially for Lincoln Road) for very good food. The seared tuna was excellent. They also have a nice selection of wines that are considerable bargains.
