Simply Terrible. They offer a pretty basic seafood menu and prices were mid-ranged so thought we'd give it a shot but it turned out to be a big mistake. We started with 2 mojitos, sent them both back, it tasted like it was made with a store bought pre-mix. We ordered a bottle of white wine instead, which was also terrible with a twist off cap. Both of our entrees were terrible, even the corn on the cob that came with the fish was terrible.

Our waitress was very nice and didn't charge us for the returned mojitos and one of the entrees. After partying at the Delano we stopped for a slice of pizza on the way back to the hotel.

Really, this is not a good restaurant at all, not even worth giving it a shot, you will surely be disappointed.

simply great. the service was attentive from the minute we walked in, relaxed wait service, friendly and helpful. the menu is straight forward and basic. we started out with some of their specialty cocktails and my cucumber mint martini was fantastic - i had to have 2 it was not too sweet not too strong, refreshing the way you always hope a mojito will be but all the bars end up adding too much sugar.

the first sign that the dinner would be good was the waiter telling us the specials and adding that they were out of grouper b/c it was not up to par today. fish unlike chicken or meat has to be purchased fresh and very often so it SHOULD be seasonal to ensure freshness. my boyfriends salad was delicous and my fried calamari was decadent -- not chewy, fresh soft and in a light batter that was fresh and perfectly friend.

not a fish eater my boyfriend got chicken which he said was good - but this place is know for fish so that is what you should get. my tilapia was excellent, i am a new york food snob and this was some of the freshest fish i have had. the true test of a restaurant is how they make simple food - like grilled fish. the sauce was good but i did not even use it. the portions were big and came with sides so nothing additional needed to be ordered.

we were too full for desert but it looked really good.

all in all a really great dinner. i highly recommend it.

my boyfriend and i went there on a monday off season so the place was empty

good food & atmosphere. walked in & was seated in about 0.2 seconds by what appeared to be the owner. he was very friendly, as was most of the waiting staff, very attentive & presentable as well. food was excellent (try the sweet onion sauce on any fish!) and so was the dessert. prices cannot be beat anywhere else on the beach for such quality. overall great experience & would definetly recommend.

Good fish, good grilling and good prices make this SoBe favorite a real catch.. In Short
Old church pews serve as banquettes, mismatched plates have been scavenged from all over, and the floor, walls and long, massive bar are so distressed they should be on Prozac. About a dozen varieties of fresh fish are offered, all around $15 and served with either sweetish caramelized onion sauce or piquant garlic-tomato sauce. Whether dense and lean like swordfish or rich and fatty like salmon, fish is moist, tender and attractivelymarked from the grill.

Just Okay.. Grillfish is probably one of the better seafood restaurants in Miami Beach, but that is not saying much. About the best thing on the menu is Stone crab claws which will save you a 2 hour wait down the street.

None of the dishes stood out. It's not that anything was terrible, it's just that I've had much better seafood in land-locked cities such as Atlanta and Chicago. Being this close to the ocean, I was hoping for something more.

If you want fresh exceptional seafood in Miami Beach, go out for sushi at one of the many good sushi bars in the area.

Group Party Was Incredible. We had a rehearsal dinner for 70 people and Grillfish could not have performed better than they did. It was a superb party, thanks to Grillfish. We highly recommend it for a private party.

One word... WOW!. Myself and my girl-friend were on a short vacation on South Beach from Jan 14 to Jan 18th. We visited this restaurant for a dinner on Monday Jan 17th. We were waited upon by a nice charming lady, named ALLISON.

Please permit me to say, in all these 4 days, Grillfish was the best restaurant we visited in South Beach, food-wise, service-wise, and even price-wise. The Billing system was good, (No SoBe attitude!) the menu was good, the recommended wine was excellent, and the waitress, charming and professional.

Hats off to and my deepest kudos to Allison the waitress. I'd definitely recommend this place !!

It Must Be A Secret. I was surprised this place wasn't jammed packed. Surely the food would warrant a long line. With so many fine places to choose from maybe I'll just be happy that I didn't have to wait to sample their marvelous menu. The shrimp scampi is the BEST I've ever had. Chef Tony of Baltimore would probably smack me if he heard me say that. I should say that whatever you choose will surely please you. I have been to other hot spots in Miami Beach but this will always be one I come back to. Great food and no (B)SoBe attitude.

best value in SoBe. The food here is fabulous and you get more for your money than at other SoBe restaurants. Entrees come with two side dishes and a huge starter salad. The seafood was fresh and delicious and the desserts were fabulous. After the meal we were given a coupon for $10 off our next lunch there.
