In Short
Giant, green umbrellas shade sidewalk diners while the bulk of customers dine on the front patio or inside, beyond glass doors that remain open all year. The cozy brasserie atmosphere, complete with clinking glasses and overzealous dinner conversation draws an over-30 crowd clad in everything from khaki shorts to casual business attire. People-watching is almost as interesting as the menu, which includes traditional Italian favorites like antipasti, panini, pastas and carpacci.

I'm a South Beach resident and owner of a business in the service industry: The waiters, hostess, and the manager at this restaurant all seem determined to ruin the dining experience. We had a totally uninterested waiter. He was gone for the whole dinner. The chicken with Honey Mustard was horrific. It tasted as if it was smothered in raw eggs. The ravioli was 'edible.' The Etruscan stizza was delicious. The waiter never came back to check on us. Another waiter asked us if we needed something when the manager was supposed to be appeasing us. The Manager wanted to justify the bad chicken with a detailing of the recipe. He left with no apology and suggestions. The waiter finally showed up and gave us a check that was incorrect. The hostess was very rude when I asked her about the Happy Hour drinks. There was an automatic 17% gratuity. I have worked as a waitress before, so I know how hard it can be, but this guy gave us NO service. The check was corrected (more than 7 minutes later) and the waiter just had no interest in how our experience was. The chocolate martinis that my husband had were good. All in all, it wasn't even a decent experience.

This place is a joke... Hostess grabbed us off the street promising us a half price meal.... When we were on our way to another ?real? restaurant...Sweet talked the kids and got us to try it... We were told that the meal would be half price... Here was the con.... The meal was half price... The drinks are where they get you.... Cokes were $8 each, Virgin marg. For a child $15.00.... Cocktails $19.99 ea.... Meal came to $99 and drinks were $61.00 of the total (one coke, one Virgin marg., one long island, and one mango daq. Note: drinks were watered down and tasted like what I would imagine horse urine would have tasted like... what a joke) To top it off the meal sucked. And the family got sick.. Food tasted like it was out of a microwave oven and the bread was stale.... Olive Garden would beat this place any day of the week... Hell Burger king would have had a better meal... On top of all this the they put a 17% tip on the bill.... (two kids and two adults) Oh yaa.. When we asked for the manager he was nowhere to be found. It looked like the staff had been through this before...... Place should be bulldozed to the ground and put an olive garden in its place... or make it a parking lot for one of the real restaurant on the street... Would do more for the ocean drive then this chit hole!!!!! I am contacting the Miami b. b. b. about this con and have let everyone I can know about it in the travel industry....AS I walked back to our hotel I informed every concierge on the walk back and most knew not to send guests to this dive... I hope I have been clear in this review... If you are looking for a good night out sampling dog food,.... enjoy getting screwed out of your money,..... and sitting on the toilet all night trying to get over the meal then this place is for you...!!!!! .

As stated by another reviewer, we were roped in with a ?two for one? drink special. They failed to put in print anywhere that the drinks were $14 a piece! I had a steak, which was like shoe leather and tasted awful. I swear on my life that a steak from your local ?Denny?s? is a choicer cut of meat and cooked better. My fiance?s pasta meal was bland and over-priced. The waiter was arrogant and rude. The bill came to about $125.00, including an automatic yet undeserved 17% tip. In general steer clear from Ocean Blvd., but NEVER eat at this tourist-trap crap-hole.
