The Scene
Once the exclusive cache of decorators and their clients, Charcuterie has been discovered by those who are spearheading a revival of Miami's tres-hip Design District. Choose a seat in the cozy downstairs or in any of the many dining areas on the second floor; all are comfortable and private. Another bonus is the service, which is wonderfully attentive without being overbearing.

The Food
If you can find the tiny storefront and are willing to park beneath an ominous highway overpass you'll be richly rewarded with unfussy French classics like escargot, country pate, quiches and salad nicoise. More than a dozen daily specials are also always worth trying. Favorites include the mussels steamed in white wine, dolphin grilled with tomato and basil or anything blackened with the subtle but spicy Cajun blend.
