Unethical advertising!. I received the Ionic straightening hair treatment at this salon. The treatment was done professionally but the way I was billed was a joke. I was quoted a 40% off the price of the treatment when I booked it via phone. The lady told me I did NOT have to buy the $39.99 spa package deal to receive the 40% off. As a new customer going to the salon on a tuesday she could give me 40% off.

Upon getting my hair done, I made my way to the reception desk to pay and when I brought up the 40% off deal, she said that it was "40% off the hours after the first 3 hours at the regular price" Huh? I then brought up the $39.99 spa package deal that would entitle me to get 40% off the whole treatment and she said I was too late to buy it as it had to be purchased over the phone prior to receiving the treatment. What a classic bait & switch! I paid over $1K (including a $100 tip) for a treatment that usually costs me $600 + tip at the landmark "Allure Magazine's Hair Authority of the South" Vincent J. salon in Ft. Lauderdale. This salon is a complete rip-off and simply not worth it. When I complained about the unfair and expensive pricing, the lady said "Well, your hair looks great" and "This is Coral Gables, not Ft. Lauderdale"...yeah well it ain't Madison Ave. either!! Not worth it at all.

Highly recommend. My sister and I went to Georges for the Ionic Hair straightening system. We are very happy with the results and feel like we've made great new friends. Ruben and his staff are very serious about their work and produce quality results. This procedure cannot be trusted on just anyone ...but we have seen their work and really don't think anyone can perform a more careful and detailed execution with the ionic hair system. Thank you guys ...we love our results. Nelly & Adriana.

P.S. there is not a day that goes by that we do not receive complements on our hair!

Horrible Experience. I am new to the Gables, having just moved from San Francisco and I wanted to try out a new salon. The receptionist was rude, I was left with wet hair for over 30 minutes while they were trying to accomodate another client, and I was charged an obscene amount for a highlight that was only slightly mediocre. I would prefer to fly back to SF every month rather then ever return to this salon.
