Built in 1927, Douglas Entrance is the original northeast entrance to Coral Gables. Flanked by busy office buildings, the restored Grand Ballroom boasts beautiful high ceilings reminiscent of the Biltmore Hotel ballrooms. Serve cocktails outside on the Plaza, where a programmable fountain provides background music with a synchronized light show. Weather demand that you bring your guests inside? Have the cocktails inside around the Grand Staircase, which will provide a great backdrop for a plethora of Kodak moments. But this is all a prelude to the ballroom, which seats around 250 people. Tables and chairs are included in the price of the room, which is a good thing because the rate is quite high. The staff is helpful, so make an appointment, pick their brains and have them help you plan your perfect party.

I just had my wedding at Douglas Entrance Historic Ballroom in Coral Gables Miami, altough it is a beautiful place, the staff was not professional at all!, the day of your wedding you have a person at the recepcion which is to help for anything, this person was not only seen drinking the licor of my wedding but the person was extremely unprofessional, if I had to do this party again I would never chose that recepcion because they gave a horrible time in the most important day of my life, they were unprofessional, insulting and extreamly disrespectful to me and my family. Trust me, it is not worth it, there are alot of places were you will be treated with respect and professionaly, and it is not at this place.

With Reservation:
The ballroom can be reserved seven days a week, but weekends are snatched up quick so call early unless you plan to marry on a Wednesday.
