Okay, from the start I was looking for cheap insurance, and that is what I got... however, less so in terms of price and more so in terms of service and quality.
I will not drudge on about all of my gripes. I will however explain my most annoying difficulty with the company....
Over the last few weeks I have been working overtime at my place of employment. With these long hours, it makes it difficult to take care of errands during regular business hours. I had my policy lined up for an auto-withdraw from my checking account to pay my bill once a month.
Normally, this is no problem, the money is withdrawn, and my bill is payed... However, on this particular month, I was unable to deposit money into the bank (what with working over sixty hours a week and all).
So I called Star Casualty.... and got a voicemailbox that was full. Unable to contact them, I called my agent, informed them of my situation, and asked if I could simply pay cash. Being rational people, they assumed that would not be difficult. When I arrived, I was informed I could not pay cash, and that my auto-withdraw would take place as usual... with insufficient funds in the bank.
Well, after my agent explained to them it was not a possibility for me to make it to the bank, as I got off work after the banks closed, they accepted a cash payment....
This of course being AFTER they had sent a request to the bank, received a notice for insufficient funds, and then cancelled my policy.
Having been unaware that I had been dropped of my coverage (after all, I had just payed cash and was told all was fine, with a receipt in hand) I assumed all was fine. Two weeks later, I received a message in the mail telling me my coverage had been dropped due to non-payment.
After a few days of trying to get a hold of them and sorting things out (mind you, during this time I am officially without coverage, as I had apparently, and unknowingly been for two weeks) I am finally informed that the total I had payed, was what my normal bill is... but since I was "late" on my payment, there would be an additional fee added to my bill. Mind you, I had payed on time, tried numerous times to get in contact with them, and was never informed of either my initial drop from service, nor my new "late fee".
Once this time rolled around, I hustled down to my agent after an exhausting day of work and payed the "remainder" of my bill.
I can only hope that this is the end... as once I know my rates won't increase due to lapse of coverage, I will be ending my policy with Star Casualty Insurance as my agent suggested.

I have many of friends with Star Casualty insurance, and they have always said positive things about them , I am trying to find an agent in my hometown that represents star Casualty, I am going to try to get them as my insurance.
I hear they are super fast on claims and that they have an awesome rep in AR named Chase. If you have any questions you should call him !
