I HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WORLD TRAVEL. I ASSURE YOU LA DORADA IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST RESTAURANT IN EXCELLENCE , SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD IN CORAL GABLES, COMPARABLE WITH FINE RESTAURANTS IN EUROPE. IF YOU LIKE SPANISH CUISINE , SEAFOOD ETC, YOU WILL LOVE IT. PRICEY BUT WORTH YOUR WHILE. TRY THE " ARROZ CON SEPIA ( SQUID RICE)... ENJOY!!

Great Seafood Not do good service. In my opinion Great seafood, lousy service. They tried to push on us high price wines(recommendations of the day!!) even though they would not match the dinner selection. If you go watch for this.

we would not go back!!

BEST GAZPACHO IN THE COUNTRY. WITH THE WONDERFUL GAZPACHO DRINK TO START THE APPETIZERS, THIS IS A VERY SATISFYING RESTAURANT FOR FISH LOVERS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE DREAMING OF THE MEDITERRANEAN AND CANNOT GO . LISTEN TO THE SUGGESTIONS AND TRY WHATEVER SOUNDS DIFFERENT. THE FISH ARE VERY FRESH AND PREPARED JUST RIGHT. A CULINARY EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT FORGET.

This elegant Spanish restaurant boasts impressive service, presentation and unusual fish dishes.. The Scene
This Spanish seafood house is decked out as a turn of the century ocean liner with shiny brass fixtures, portholes, and wooden accents. The service is almost exclusively in Spanish; if you're not fluent, bring a translator or engage the services of the accommodating manager.

The Food
The menu is not extensive but does offer some unusual and worthwhile choices, such as marinated shark, fresh anchovies and many excellent fried fish selections. The house specialty, pescado a la sal, is a whole fish baked in a mound of salt then filleted tableside. The zarzuela is also good, with shrimp, mussels, lobster, fish, squid and clams in a creamy, tomato based sauce. Portions are small; consider ordering a few appetizers first. There is a fine gazpacho and several hearty salads. Desserts include a rich and delicious caramelized apple tart served with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with honey.

A Good Catch!. A delicious bussiness lunch! We had the mixed seafood grill, and the "lobina en salsa verde" as well as hake in same sauce. Delicious was the dessert, too! Haven't had "heaven's bacon" (tocino del cielo) as good in a long time! Friendly service, bar is stocked with top shelf liquors, and a wonderful selection of Spanish wines (try a Ribera del Duero red). Finish it off with an expresso, and you are in plush heaven. I recommend it highly. This restaurant specializes in exotic fish and seafood from the Mediterranean and the North coast of Spain (as well as shellfish). The fish is flown from Spain to the restaurant every three days. Do not be intimidated if you have never had razor clams, or hake, or cigalas...try them and enjoy! Be warned, you can run a pretty big tab since this is not an inexpensive experience.
