Good Sushi---Good Price. You know you're in trouble when you're at an Asian restaurant and the wait staff is not Asian. This place is decent but I had to stop going to this location bec. the wait staff and service were just too poor. Try the one in South Miami at Sunset if you must have this sushi restaurant. Favs Tuna salad, pork shumai

Fresh. Fresh and well presented, tasty and exotic dishes at the same time. A pleasure to dine being hosted by a very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Great sushi!. Great sushi for dine in or they also do take out (and delivery if you live in a 5 block radius). Ask to hear the specials and plan to share lots of things instead of ordering your own. Service varies and during peak hours you'll feel a little rushed.

On Jan 18 at 7:12pm I called in an order to this

resturant after being on hold over 10 min a girl

finally took my order while taking my order she

interrupted me six times for other phone calls and to

talk to people around her with all the interupption it

took another 12 min to take my order even thou after

being on hold for so long I had my order ready. I wait

for over an hour for my order and when I called the

resturant the girl rudely tells me that my address was

wrong even thou she repeated both my address and my

phone number back to me. Well she says that she will

have the food sent back and hangs up abruptly. When

the food does get here 20 min later it is cold,

normally this would not be a problem for sushi, but I

ordered a rocky road and ebi shumai neither of which

are supposed to be cold. When I told the driver that

the food was cold he told me to put it in the

microwave.

When I called back the resturant the manager told me

she would send more food out to me and again I was

abruptly hung up on before I could tell her that what

I want is a refund because after complaining I can

only imagine what has happened to any food that

arrives at my door. By the way the reason I have not

included the manager name in this letter and I am

still refering to the manager as her because when I

asked her to identify herself she just said she was

the one in charge. After everything I had to order my 3 year old daughter pizza

to eat and to add insult to injury that arrived before

the sushi did.

Pho- pero que Rico!. Service is good...Just ve-e-e-ry slow. Must try the PHO Soup- Perfect for a rainy day. I know I'll crave this one. Also, try their sake-tini it's quite refreshing!

Great spot in the heart of the Gables. I am a frequent patron of Sushi Maki and I will say that 95% of the time everything is great the food is fantastic the ambiance is great and the service is usually quick polite and on top of things. Sushi Maki offers a great value and dining experience.

Worst Service Ever!!. I choose this restaurant to take my date on valentines day, I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. i was promptly seated, however it took twenty minutes to have a waitress come and ask if anyone had take care of us. Right after, there was another waitress who attempted to take our order but how was I suppose to order if I had no menu????. Then he provided us with the menu in a very RUDE way, he threw the menus on the table. So I decided I got up and left the place.

VERY GOOD FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE. The sushi was grade A quality, but the star of my lunch was the sunomono.(octopus salad) It was served in a martini glass with hair thin carrots and small pieces of lettuce in a tangy vinegarette. Outstanding! I also had some cold sake, which is always nice after a roll and some salad. Two thumbs up!

AWESOME!. i dont know what the person above me was talking about...but Sushi maki coral Gables...had great service and i had a great and friendly waiter. If you're impatient this is not the place for you, because this place gets packed! but for all the good reasons. Prompt seating, great food, and the dessert was tasty. i did not have to ask repeatedly for refills, and the mood was classy and elegant. Not to mention that the sushi was fresh and nicely presented. If you're in a rush,rude, or impatient..this place is not for you!

good location no service low to average food. My fiancee and I wanted to eat sushi. We use the msn guide all the time. Maki was the top one on the list so we figured we'd give it a shot. Location nice in Miracle Mile.

We literally had to walk to the cashier (right in front of the entrance) to ask if there was a hostess or self seating. They did not understand but she grabbed some menus and brought us to our table. Appetizers were frozen and cooked. Soy sauce horrid. Sushi good quality but bad flavor (Iguess the spices or sauces they use). My fiancee had to get up twice to request a refill of his drinks when there were hardly any customers dining there. So it wasnt because they were busy... VERY VERY BAD SERVICE. Pricing average.
