The Scene
The modern dining room belies the ancient craft of Italian cooking that goes on behind the scenes. Service complements the cuisine; waiters are friendly, bilingual and good-humored.
The Food
Tagliatelli with hearty--but not heavy--Bolognese sauce is just one example of the robust and delicious cuisine. Pizza with frutta di mare (seafood) is divine, as are any of the handmade pastas, not to mention the pizza quattro formaggio, for those who like lots of cheese. For dessert, don't miss an excellent rendition of the classic tiramisu.

You Won't Believe ...The big portions and reasonable prices.
Ask for a Table ...In one of the cushy booths. Chairs are pretty but not terribly comfortable.

I ate at Bugatti several times over ten years ago. Back then the service was so over-the-top terrible that I totally boycotted the place. I mean it. I did not step foot in that place for over ten years. Tonight, I caved in and agreed to meet some friends there. The food was good and the service was okay. Hmmm, I thought well, this place probably learned from the gazillion complaints. WRONG! Sure enough, when the bill came, they charged us for an item that we did not order. Honest mistake, right? WRONG! They REFUSED to take the item off the bill! They argued with the THREE of us (one lawyer and two executives) as if we were trying to rip them off or something. The manager/server guy even barked at me, "Just pay your bill and leave the restaurant." Leave we did and I will NEVER AGAIN step foot in that place!!! They are an HUGE embarrassment to Coral Gables and to the hospitality industry!
Pros: food was good and well priced, but so is the food at Spris, just down the road!!!
Cons: The CONS OUTWEIGH THE PROS for this establishment!

Okay, I'm trying not to laugh too hard as I write this review. The 2 reviews before mine (mentioning the weird waitress) are so true!!! Trust me, no one could make this stuff up! I too have met the wacky waitress and have seen her reactions to normal food requests. It's so funny! My theory is she must be related to someone... However, the food at Bugatti is great! I love their egg noodle pasta! It's amazing... and the prices are reasonable. I'd skip their gnocchi (nothing fabulous). But, most of their dishes are very good and quite authentic tasting. Now as for the waitress? She might get on some people's nerves. I would return just to see what she could do next! She made the whole dining experience so much more...I don't know? Intense? Interesting? Wacky? She seems to take everything very seriously, but it's quite fun to be in a situation where you think to yourself is this really happening? I guess that's why I'm getting a kick out of the prior reviews. I enjoyed my wacky waitress and loved the good food. As for special requests? That's the one major flaw in Bugatti. I think if the owners want to take it to the next level they really should accommodate simple requests! But overall the food is fabulous and if you happen to get the waitress...sit back and enjoy the show. lol I actually just kicked this up to 4 stars because of th waitress. Think about it: you go to a restaurant and have a meal. However, with this waitress you go to a restaurant, have a meal, and a story to tell your friends, family, and anyone who would believe you!!! haha Too funny!
Pros: Food and Wacky Service
Cons: Wacky Service (lol it's both a con and a pro)
