Mediocre sushi at best, rude owner.. Much like other reviewers, I too found the owner very obnoxious. The hostess sat my wife and I at a table and right after the owner approached us yelling at us to get up because he had offered that same table to others. He made us get up even though clearly it was his hostess' mistake. He is a very rude man with no manners. I will never go there again. The food there in general is edible at best, and you can find better service at Denny's! There are too many other sushi places nearby with better service to come here. Avoid at all costs in my opinion.

Below Average Sushi and Rude Owner. I used to love this place when I was 17 and didn't know any better! You get cheap sushi here, which means you get lots of low quality sushi that is quickly served with average to below average service. Also, special note for the owner who is indeed extremely rude! Other reviewers that mention this are not exaggerating. If you have any issues (such as HAIR in your sushi--and believe me it has happened in the past), this guy will be the nastiest person you will ever encounter. Usually, restaurant owners would be quick to apologize or at least try and ease the situation, not this guy! He is just plain 'ol mean, ill-tempered, and lacks basic manners! I have seen him treat his employees in a disturbing manner on previous visits. I find myself seething in anger when I see some low-brow restaurant owner (because obviously someone who has such conduct is indeed low-brow!) treat his employees like dirt. Frankly, it's unacceptable and it ruins your meal.

So, if you want below average cheap sushi, by all means go here. I won't say I'll never go again... But most likely I won't because just thinking about the owner makes me never want to enter this establishment again! This guy needs to go take a few basic etiquette lessons!!!

You Get What You Pay For!!. This Sushi-Place is terrible, from the quality and freshness of the seafood, to the "Non-Existent Service". The waiters are never paying any attention to your needs and I figured it is because their (15%) tip is already included on the check. If you were to tip these high-schoolers for their performance, they would get something like (5%). The owner of the place is the most nasty and obnoxious human being you will ever meet. In the end, you will get what you pay for: LOUSY SERVICE, BELOW AVERAGE SUSHI and A MANDATORY 15% TIP!!

Great value for decent sushi. As a native of Japan, I'm a harsh judge when it comes to sushi in America. However, I was surprised by the quality of the sushi I got yesterday. The fish were reasonably fresh, the nori (seaweed) was crisp, and the rice was prepared just right. I know there are places that serve better sushi in the area, but you have to pay $3-5 a piece comparing to $14 for all-you-can-eat at Taisho. What a great value! If you want decent, reasonably priced sushi, you should give it a try.

SHOULD OF GONE FISHING AND CUT IT UP MYSELF. If your looking to be served by a bunch of highschool kids who never pay attention to the table then your looking for the right place. Make sure if you get the all you can eat special you read the rules and leave nothing on your plate and if your hoping to be served anytime soon make sure you put your table number on your card or they forget your order. Should you leave any sushi behind you will get charged between $1-$3 per peice left. AND dont come thirsty it will cost you your leg in refills. Your definitly getting what you pay for which is some not so fresh fish and a horrible aftertaste while you drive home. What seems to be a good deal quickly turns to be 3x what you expect to pay and definitly a waste of money.

Best Value in Sushi in Coral Gables. I am a sushi lover, and I Love Taisho. There are other equally good places further north and on Miami beach, but what you get for the money at Taisho in Coral Gables is unparalleled.

The service is also top notch. I am there at least once a week and have never been treated poorly. Good value, good sushi, good service. Nuff said.

Great All you can eat sushi!. This place is awesome! Every time I went to Miami I always come here. If you are looking for all you can eat sushi that has a reasonable price, is fresh, has many variety of sushi to choose, and taste great, this place has hit all the points! I would recommend the Salmon Skin Handroll, Spicy Tuna Handroll, Eel, and tempura. That would be my favorite.

The place is always crowded on weekend night and the food serve quite fast too. You just need to fill the paper (3 different colors: pink, yellow, and white (sushi, handroll, and tempura). Be careful not to order too much at first ... what I want to say is: Take Your Time and enjoy every order if possible ... you can always ADD as much as you want later on by filling the paper again and again (afterall it's all-you-can-eat =))

Taisho - you get what you pay for. The quality of fish is the poorest that you will ever find. The tuna is sometimes brown. The sushi pieces are mostly huge balls of white rice with little thin slices of old fish. If you leave any rice, you pay extra. There's a time limit on your table's seating. Plenty of other sushi buffet places better in Coconut Grove and South Beach.

No one else can compare!!. no matter where i go to eat sushi, no one can compare to TAISHO! the quality, the selection. always fresh, always delicious.

sometimes it does take awhile to get food once ticket is taken, but well worth the wait.
